Freshly cleaned, new wheels, coilovers installed, and some clouds rolling in make for great potential for a shot. Been practicing my HDR, this one is a -2,0,+2 EV 3 shot HDR processed in Photomatix and CS3.

Yesterday was the last real day of my winter break. It was also 60 degrees, and sunny, (winter is broken this year). Anyways, Andrew came down from Mass, and we installed his coilovers. It sits perfectly. Seriously, perfect.

Meet Tim. Well...not the car, the car's owner. The car would be popularly known as "M CINCO" to most as Tim has grown pretty popular in the e39 m5 community. Tim was the inventor of Timmayfest, a national e39 m5 car meet lasting over 3 days in his hometown of Columbus Ohio. M5's from all over the country would come to hang out, talk shop, and just have a good time together. With a SLEW of M5's together, it's hard NOT to have a good time!
Tim himself is a wrencher. He has helped me personally countless time and is just a standup guy. When I purchased my m5, it was about the time to change the clutch. So Tim (again, being a standup guy, and loves wrenching) offered to facilitate the install and let us install the clutch in his garage. NOW LET ME BE CLEAR..."offered to facilitate" actually turned into him doing 90% of the work as "someone" (ahem) had a nasty hangover from his VP taking the night out before and may or may not have had to pull over on the way to Columbus to yack on the side of 71. aah yes, good times.
Besides Tim being able to tackle job from under the hood to ripping the entire interior out, he's actually a pretty good dude and hopefully we can hang out a bit more as he's about 2 hours away. ::bromance::.
Enough about Tim, let's hear about his M5!
Tim bought his 2001 BMW M5 in Dec of 2008 in bone stock form. Since then he's added an
-RMS Stage 2 Supercharger kit
-UUC V12 Segmented Kevlar Clutch Kit
-Dinan light weight wheels
-BC Racing Coilovers
-Dinan Rear Sway bar with Beast Power sway bar brackets
-Powerflex bushings
-Deleted the mufflers
-"Slimmbones" rear diffuser, front lip spoiler, trunk lid spoiler, and fog light covers.
-Full aftermarket sound system: Alpine INA-W910, PXA-H-800/RUX C-800, Alpine amps, Hybrid Audio Technology L831 3 way front stage and some Alpine Type-R 12" subwoofers.
Tim currently is putting down 556 hp and 456 lbs of torque at the rear wheels.

Jon's MKV has been on so many wheels its crazy. He once had RH's, Futuras, and AMG's just to name a few. Now he has the car on some dope Land Rover Discovery wheels and I think they look great. His car is also on coilovers which makes me love this car even more. His MKV is the first MKV that I've ever ridden in that hit road reflectors and I give him mad props.

Long overdue for its photoshoot, Dave's 2008 Honda Fit is in ripe condition at all hours of the day. It is preserved by spray waxing, or washing every day. His D2 coilovers are turned all the way down, Mugen window visors, and a 13" JL W7 completing his mods.
I found this spot to shoot on Google Maps, after I was informed by a different Dave, www.flickr.com/photos/tormey/ that the parking lot under the Ben Franklin Bridge required a sort of ID card to enter. Forced to find a spot before the sun went down, I went on Google Maps and used Street View to see which streets faced the Phila skyline.
Found this gem of a spot on there. : )
