This may look like a regular old house to some, but to me as well as many other women it represents much more than that. This image of the CSU Pi Beta Phi house represents the cognitive theory of salience because knowing the object of this picture and why it is relevant adds personal interest.

Cognitive and computational neuroscientist Anil Seth is recognized as among the 0.1% most impactful scientists in terms of publications. A recurring TED speaker, he will start off the day by dissecting the “purely human” vs the machine: Where does creativity start, where does it come from? Can computers be creative at all?

Students who are cognitively impaired focus on a curriculum that is functional and community-based. Much emphasis is placed on daily living skills so that they may contribute to society to the greatest extent possible. The Growing Green Garden will allow students to design, create and maintain a garden right on campus as part of their education. They will put theory (what they're learning in class) into practice as they use many skills to complete this project. Students will learn where food comes from, practical math skills as they will use the fruits/vegetables to prepare meals. They will use measurement skills. They will learn responsibility, job and life skills as a result of this project. This will bring them closer to nature, and allow them to interact with each other in a socially meaningful and physically productive way. Students will also feel part of the mainstream because their garden will be positioned for the entire school to see.

Companion services, also known as personal care or personal assistance, is a service that provides support to individuals with disabilities, including those with acquired brain injuries (ABI), to help them with activities of daily living. The specific services offered through companion services can vary, but may include things such as assistance with dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting, as well as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation. Companion services are typically provided by trained caregivers, who may work for a home care agency or be self-employed. The goal of companion services is to help individuals with disabilities maintain their independence and live as safely and comfortably as possible in their own homes or community.

ABI Resources works with multiple organizations, including DSS, DMHAS, WWP, CCC, CCCI, SWCAA, WCAAA, Allied, Yale, UConn, Gaylord, HFSC, and more to provide the best care for individuals.

Is this a sign of bordom and childishness or creativity and originality? ::)

"Art activates the brain and beautifies the soul, leading to a more fulfilling and meaningful life."

ABI RESOURCES

Art has been shown to have a number of positive effects on the brain, including reducing stress, improving mood, and increasing cognitive function. For example, viewing art has been found to lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol, while also increasing activity in the areas of the brain associated with pleasure and reward. Additionally, engaging in art-making activities, such as painting or drawing, has been found to improve fine motor skills and increase creativity. Some studies also suggest that art therapy, which combines art-making with psychotherapy, can be effective in treating mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety.

ABI Resources works with multiple organizations, including DSS, DMHAS, WWP, CCC, CCCI, SWCAA, WCAAA, Allied, Yale, UConn, Gaylord, HFSC, and more to provide the best care for individuals.

ABI Resources’ commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive community for clients is well known. They offer a variety of team-building activities, social events, and volunteer opportunities to help clients stay engaged and connected with others. This not only helps clients recover from their injuries but also helps them build friendships, create social connections, and gain a sense of belonging.

hese maps are just the beginning of many I wish to make. I do lots of walking, but not so much leisurely walking (in the sense of a country side stroll), more like walking to town to town, village to village. I have attempted to draw these maps right afterwards, visually the area as I draw the route I walked, in order to remember my emotions and things I saw whilst walking.

If not to anyone else, I find this deeply informative to myself. It’s like when I look back on what I have written the landscape reveals its true identity to me; something an A-Z or Google map could never do. It also made me realise that there is something to be gained conceptually from any walk. Not just a walk through the most tourist-friendly spots on earth.

A survey that looked at the neurological response to marketing found that direct mail requires 21 percent less cognitive effort than other forms of marketing. This means that messages are absorbed faster and require less effort from recipients, making them a highly efficient means of engaging prospects. Brand recall is also as much as 70 percent higher for those who received direct mail versus those who only saw advertisements on other platforms.

If you want to succeed with your next direct mail campaign, here are four insurance related direct mail tips to help you take advantage of these trends and drive a strong response rate.

1. Personalize your content to consumers’ life chapters

Personalization is high in the insurance industry, with as many as 71 percent of insurance direct mail campaigns using it to some degree. Do not fall behind this trend and incorporate some of these elements into your own mailings.

Most insurance companies offer several different insurance products, all aligning to different stages of life. For example, there might be car insurance, life insurance, and home insurance. When you personalize the content and images to align with the experiences of the prospective customer, you will have a far easier time engaging them. A young woman who recently bought her first car will likely respond better to an advertisement for a new car insurance policy that similarly features a young female driver, with hands carefully at 10 and 2, than they would the image of someone their parent’s age casually driving a minivan.

2. Personalize rates for the individual

If you have a good data set on your mailing list, then you likely know the ages and gender of the person or couples targeted by your direct mail. Using that data, calculate more customized rates for each recipient. The higher degree of personalization will encourage more engagement and with the more accurate cost, you will help make the decision making process easier for the prospective customers. When the prospects then contact your company, they will have a more accurate idea of their cost, thus initiating a more valuable conversation.

3. Understand your process fall off

The fall off is the point when the lead fails to move forward. You want to consider when your leads are more likely to stop contacting you. For example, maybe your current action plan has multiple follow-up steps, such as completing an application or an authorization form. To increase the number of leads you have who move forward, you want to make these steps as easy as possible for your customers. You might try including a prepaid envelope for them to return the necessary documents. You can also pre-fill as much of the document as you can. The easier it is for your prospects to complete your forms and the fewer obstacles in their path, the more likely they will be to move forward.

4. Incorporate affinity programs or relationships

Affinity relationships, such as with regional sports teams, can be wonderful opportunities for building engagement and encouraging people to give your advertisement a second look. If you offer special discounts for people who are fellow fans of the big regional sports team, you help to build feelings of camaraderie and encourage people to view you favorably. If you have an official affinity relationship with the team, you can also incorporate key images that attract more attention.

If you want to boost the number of insurance sales driven from your direct mail campaigns, using a few key strategies will improve your success. Consider incorporating these direct mail tips for insurance companies:

Personalized content for the different life chapters of your prospects.

Including personalized rates for the recipient.

Strategizing to reduce the obstacles prospects encounter at the fall off point.

Use affinity programs to attract more attention and encourage engagement.

Direct mail can be a highly effective means of driving insurance sales and boosting engagement with prospects. Those interested in learning more about how they can leverage direct mail to drive more sales should reach out to us at Ballantine. For over 50 years we have been helping brands create strong marketing strategies and we can also guide you to maximize the return from your direct mail campaigns.

Adderin - The degree of a pediatric brain trauma can range from gentle, moderate and severe in nature. Even a gentle brain injury, in a very preschool kid, will have an effect on future cognitive development. By the age of 10 to 13, a number of these youngsters might begin showing signs of hyperactivity, inattentiveness and behavioral disorders; seizure disorders might additionally occur. Solving puzzles, reading and meeting sure educational necessities could prove difficult. The extent of those conditions will be delicate or severe, relying on the half of the brain that was injured, the extent of the injury; also the kid's capabilities and soundness prior to their injury.

What are your everyday activities?

I drew a self-portrait of myself to show how I interpret and express my ideas on a regular basis. I used a variety of images for the background to represent everyday objects and things I observe to derive creative ideas from. The hand emerging out of my head represents my ability to think as an artist and to express my thoughts through my artwork. The device that surrounds my head represents the frequent barriers that prevent me from reaching my true potential and my ability to think as an artist at times. The shattered wooden pieces lying beside my hand represents my ability to break free from those barriers in order to utilize my true potential and to develop new ideas from ordinary things by interpreting them in a unique way according to my own perspective.
