Shibuya (渋谷区 Shibuya-ku) es un barrio de Tokio (Japón). Se encuentra en la línea circular de tren Yamanote en el oeste de Tokio, un poco al sur de Shinjuku.
El distrito fue fundado el 15 de marzo de 1947. Según datos de 2008, el distrito tiene una población de 208.371 habitantes y una densidad de 13.540 personas por km². El área total es de 15,11 km².
Principalmente un distrito comercial y de entretenimiento, Shibuya ha conseguido una gran popularidad entre los jóvenes en los últimos 30 años. En Shibuya se encuentran varios centros comerciales de moda; el más famoso de ellos es el llamado "Shibuya 109" (ichimarukyū). Este centro comercial es muy popular entre los jóvenes, especialmente los adolescentes, y es famoso por ser el origen de la subcultura kogal. El panorama de la moda se extiende al norte hacia Harajuku y Shibuya cada vez más marca los patrones de la moda para toda Asia.
Shibuya también es famoso por el cruce que hay delante de la estación, el llamado Scramble Kousaten, （スクランブル 交差点）del que se dice que es el más abarrotado del mundo y utiliza un stop en las cuatro direcciones para permitir a los peatones inundar todo el cruce. En los edificios que se encuentran en frente del cruce están situadas tres grandes pantallas de televisión. La plaza que hay en frente de la estación se conoce como Plaza Hachikō (ハチ公), en honor a un perro fiel que esperó en esta plaza a su amo durante años tras la muerte de éste y que es conmemorado con una estatua en la plaza; dicha estatua es el punto de espera más popular de Tokio cuando varias personas tienen una cita.
Al norte de la estación de Shibuya se encuentra el Dōgenzaka (道玄坂), que ofrece entretenimiento a un público más maduro, con muchos clubes nocturnos y love hotels.
Las estaciones principales de tren son la propia Estación de Shibuya (渋谷駅, Shibuya eki), la Estación Yoyogi, la Estación de Harajuku y la Estación Ebisu.

Not crazy about how developed the summit of Mt. Washington is, but I figured if the cog railway has to be there, I might as well get a pic out of it.

Not exactly sure what this does. very annoyed at the people here, but there were too many to ask them all to move.

The Cog Railway is a railway which goes up to the Mount Washing Summit in NH. The "cog" of the train can climb up a track with a 30 degree positive slope. Mt. Washington is the highest mountain peak of the Northeast. The summit comes in at 6288 feet. This is a must view attraction in NH. It's a trip to the moon, oh that's was said already. Must visit! Worth the trip! What a memory!
1982 Bridgestone Sirius.
Originally this bike was sole with a six cog freewheel, not a cassette (and not with seven cogs). The space between the stays for a wheel was only 126 mm but apparently one can simply force a more modern 130 mm wheel into the space and not compromise the strength of the bike.
The Shimano 105 rear derailleur dates to somewhere after 1988 (not the same period as the bike) and is intended for seven cogs, which is bought to go with it. The derailleur does manage to clear the 28 tooth large cog.
