Picture taken yesterday in late afternoon

....using mostly already existing furniture from our previous homes and spending as less money as possible ( so that most can be invested in gaining experiences through often travelling) were the drawing lines for making this Penthouse a home.

My things arrived by track from Greece almost 2 years ago.

So let's see how it goes from what is seen here:

His:

-> two piece sofa corner (Ikea)

-> wheeled coffetable legs, which were

added to a new surface from Ikea.

They were also wallpapered by me,

for a little luxus look.

Hers:

I was lying on the sofa watching Netflix when i saw the plant backlit by the wall light. Stretched my arm to pickup up the camera from the coffetable while still lying down focused and Bam. Cropped and slight exposure tweak in LR.

I took the original photo and converted it to greyscale and adjusted the contrast with curves. Then I added an overlay of 3 other photos I took, one of a necklace, one of a rose with an open book and one of the surface of a dirty coffetable to give it a dirty, older look. then I used some brushes on the edges and added a border.

This is actually an Ikea hack...I hadn't thought about it before. It consists of 15 square, with rounded edges, mirrors, all adjusted togehter on the surface of my first (2004) Klubbo coffetable. In each one of them, I used a permanent silver marker and wrote my thoughts about l o v e ...The stairs to the Gallery, our big Expedit unit a ceiling Kulla lamp are reflected.

I guess you all have figured it out by now, that I love geometry and shapes....it was one of my favorite subjects at school and was a complete nerd at it, looking forward to solving the homework exercises...now that I see nothing wrong or uncool about being a little " nerdy "...no problem in sharing that! ; )

Now, I mostly care about geometry and shapes serving the purpose of good design, function, comfort and of course, jumping out of its "Strictness" and providing pleasing eye candy...

Have a lot to learn but love this process...
