Curly Maple top is veneered in sequence over quarter-sawn poplar staves. Tops are edged with solid maple, holding continuous grain around the circumference of table, as well as book matched to top and bottom pieces. The tambour side slides 360 degrees around the table. The "half French" through drawer is accessible from either side by moving the tambour to the corresponding location. Table holds two compartments at either end behind the tambour. Awarded - Woodcraft Magazines, Excellence in Design award.
In his words, "The material I use is Certified sustainable lumber and when and where it is applicable I use localy harvested and milled woods. The tambour table along with all other furniture pieces I make, don't use plywood. I create my own substrates from solid wood and cross laminated veneers. The glue I use is non toxic and doesn't off-gas. There are no staples, nails, laquers, or eurethanes. I make my own schellac and waxes. Even the canvas on the back of the tambour is unbleached and organic."
Mix Mock Chalk Paint and paint first coat. Note the first coat will be a bit streaky -- this is normal. The second coat will even everything out. Step 2 shows two coats and some distressing.
Mock Chalk Paint Recipe: 2 parts flat latex paint, 1 part acrylic glaze, add 1 scant teaspoon of unsanded grout at a time until reach thickened consistency. (Add, stir, cover, let "bloom" for 5 minutes add more grout as needed to get a tooth to your paint). This piece was shiny black. Only prep was making sure it was clean. No sanding required. This table used approximately 1 cup latex paint (Benjamin Moore - Veronica), 1/2 cup Glaze and approx 1/2 Tbl grout.

my first attempt at steampunk design. this coffee table is approx 3" by 4" and 1" tall. This is in 1:12 scale.
This plant is the centerpiece on my friend's coffee table.
Don't ask me why I took a picture of it because I don't know the reason behind it myself *lol*.
Slab style coffee table with natural edges and saw cut marks across the top and legs. Rich walnut colour with cream sap wood. 340mm - 450mm wide x 1040mm long x 490mm high.

Well....it's a coffee table with the top made of a pattern of peacock feathers, and covered with glass! I love it (others hate it!) I bought it at auction for just £4! Obviously there were more people hated it than loved it LOL! But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I am going through the remaining frames of that Delta film I shot with the M3. This one I quite liked.
It was almost certainly shot wide open and the Summicron handled itself very well at f/2. You can actually read the beginning of the left column of that newspaper.
There's maybe a hint of outlining in the background (on the left, near the lamp). That would probably be gone by f/2.8.
Shot on Delta 100 and developed in Adonal/Rodinal (1+25 for 9 minutes). This is the type of shot where the choice of developer didn't help and a lower acutance/lower grain combination would have perhaps worked better.
