Grasshopper coffeeshop

Larger and on Black

The camera came back and they say they fixed my lens, but I don't know. I'll post another different picture to see if anyone else thinks the focus is still "off"

In the meantime I decided to play with Rita's Coffee Shop actions. Each picture I added another action to the previous. So by the end I had run the Barista twice.

Which do you like better?

I'd love to hear your thoughts, ideas, cc, anything to help me improve on the look of my pictures. Thanks.

Rapid Visualization week4: 2 point perspective sketch and a simple side view sketch of a make believe coffee shop...just a simple exercise in perspective it was quite liberating not to put much effort into drawing the "people" lol obviously I need more practice with perspective

A Caribou coffee is a good start for a day which involves 450 miles of driving across the northwoods.

Spent a quiet, chilly afternoon with my sister and my mum, devouring greasy bagels and sipping hot chocolate; perfect way to end the days of 2006.

P.S. I heard from a friend that all non-Canadians think that Canadians grow up to work at Tim Hortons, that we all adore Timmy Hoes or something. Non-Canadians, is that true?

Just trying out the whole internet cafe thing

Mostly a drirve-through business in the morning

I used the coffeeshop action -colour pop to help bring out the blue in the sky... i should start learning to do this myself rather than actions. but hey.

i find my d5000 tends to come out with rather dull colours when I get home and look at the pics, this action I could therefore use to help rectify this. alternatively, i think, once we actually have some sun and no wind and I get to take some new photos, I may try fiddling with the exposure or vivid colour setting when shooting.

Coffeeshop in down-town Amsterdam

Grrr. The place was great. WAS. Past tense. Now it looks like something out of Hollyoaks.

Hull being a bit of a backwater they wanted to put Peaberry in the tourist guide so sent a photographer out one afternoon. This was one of the shots that didn't make it. In fact I think they used one without me in it!

My brother treated us to a swanky coffee shop in the "beverly hills" area of Saigon. See that happy face? He has coffee.

coffee shop // broadway & 23rd st

okay, not a coffee shop, but i am a huge fan of the new manhattan no-car islands (pedestrian plazas?) along broadway. comfortable chairs and tables, great views of buildings and people, and plenty of choices of food and drink. can one ask for more?
