We're always here, because its right across the road from school - but its seldom that I'm here after night falls. The coffeeshop is far less busy, and its actually peaceful.
Zeiss 35mm f/2 Loxia
I did some comparisons of bokeh quality testing the 35mm f/2 Takumar, the Nikon 35mm f/2 AIS, and this 35mm Loxia. The Loxia came in first followed by the Nikon. Basically I was looking for smoothness of transitions or creaminess for lack of a better word. In fairness to the Nikon I have shot a lot with it and have found the images to be quite nice in practice. Same with the Nikon 35mm f/2 AF-D. The test was done in only one setting but with a variety of objects in the background. Nothing scientific, purely subjective. The other nice feature of the Loxia is that it provides the EXIF data to the camera which I always appreciate as I am not inclined to take notes after every frame. On the other hand it's five times more expensive!
"Warning: unattended children will be given two shots of espresso and a puppy." Spotted in a Kirkland, WA coffee shop
A ne pas traduire littéralement bien sûr !!! Le café n'étant pas vraiment la spécialité de la maison !
Bon week-end à tous !
Coffeeshop The Bulldog in the Red Light District of Amsterdam.
A view of one of the districts alleys. Women in very little lingerie are displaying themselves behind the windows. Girl on the terrace is rolling a joint. This is Amsterdam allright.
