During our visit to a coffee roaster operation on the Kona coast of Hawaii, I was wandering their gardens and came across a banana tree with a little gecko on the back of the leaf. The little fellow was nicely back lit and the combination of his/her shadow and the patterns in the leaf structure revealed in the back lighting, made for an interesting composition. - JW

{film} At Heart a couple of weeks ago. We decided to switch it up and went to Coava in the Industrial district this morning. The decor is gorgeous, with lots of bamboo and industrial tables.
My very favorite coffee shop. Beats even Java in Rochester though the two are very close.

Nothing compares the the unique smell of freshly roasted coffee. Fortunately there still exist small coffee roasters, where you can not only enjoy the smell, but also the taste of a wonderful cup of coffee, preferable together with a awesome piece of pie.
