Can AI "photos" coexist with the "traditional" imagery???

Do you feel "betrayed" when (if) you found out a photo was an Artificial "photo"... are we getting used to being "lied" too?

Things are likely to become yet more complex as use of artificial intelligence by artists becomes more widespread, and as the machines get better at producing creative works, further blurring the distinction between artwork that is made by a human and that made by a computer.

(NOTE: on purpose I posted this also in "normal" portrait groups to get some reactions)

Yes, Yorkies have gotten a bad rap when it comes to coexisting with kids. This might be due to a Yorkie’s small size and a child’s tendency to play rough. Children need to be taught that even small dogs must be respected and handled gently. Remember: it’s normal for a toy dog (especially one with the fierceness of a Yorkie), to try to defend themselves.

But your Yorkie does need to be redirected if she snaps or growls at your little one, and rewarded for behaving well around kids. With persistence and training, Yorkies and kiddos can truly bond and make a magnificent, mischievous team.

The Aos Sidhe (pronounced "ess shee"), are a powerful, supernatural race comparable to the fairies or elves of other traditions.

They live in an invisible world that coexists with the world of humans.

The Gaelic Otherworld is seen as being closer at the times of dusk and dawn, therefore this is seen as a time special to the Aos Sidhe, as are some of the festivals such as Samhain and Midsummer. The Aos Sidhe are generally described as stunningly beautiful, though they can also be terrible and hideous.

I cursed myself for walking too deep into the forest and missing seeing the sunset from the view point high on the hillside like i intended, but the evening rays brought colour to the forest like I wouldnt have imagined.

The forest is very much still in green, but the backlighting from the sunset has given such warmth to the leaves.

As it was so late in the day, this is a 1 second exposure.

Just down the hill from my chicken coop is this young family. I counted four baby kits. My chickens are locked up safe, and if something happens to them, it will be because of my negligence. I decided to have chickens in an area that is abundant with wildlife, we need to somehow coexist so making sure my coop is secure is my duty. Electric wire seems to work well. :-) I sure have enjoyed watching this family.

[ENG] The srtawberry tree is a shrub of everlasting leaf of the family of the ericáceas, with alternate leaves, white flowers and red eatable fruit that lives about the Mediterranean region and in the part Europa's west. The fruit, named arbutus, they are berries of yellowish meat, they are late one year in maturing (the flowers coexist with the fruits in the same plant), they are yellow and acid up to reaching his maturity that are sweet and red. His consumption in big quantities is indigestible. The sugars transform partially in alcohol when they have matured in exces. They have uses pharmacological and ornamental.

In this series of photographs, I returned to the beaches around Taormina, thus concluding a "photographic triad" dedicated to beach photography, encouraged by my life and residence near the sea since I was a boy; I post photographs that speak of serenity, joie de vivre, love in the broadest sense, featuring beachgoers of all ages, whose habits (often) are consolidated by living in sun-kissed latitudes. And yet, I ask myself, every day in the world we witness immense tragedies, caused not by natural disasters (often unpredictable), but by the sinister and nefarious will of man, and so I ask myself if it is right to post images that speak of a reality that almost seems to come "from another planet (sigh!)”, where coexistence, a sense of brotherhood, Love, coexist peacefully among people (in this case... often) in bathing suits :-) .... The next "photographic cycle" will be dedicated to several photographic series that "wait to see the light - again -", having as their theme the traditional religious popular festivals that characterize our island of Sicily.

The St. Pierre Cathedral is a cathedral in Geneva, Switzerland, today belonging to the Reformed Protestant Church of Geneva. It is known as the adopted home church of John Calvin, one of the leaders of the Protestant Reformation. Inside the church is a wooden chair used by Calvin.

It was begun under Arducius de Faucigny, the prince-bishop of the Diocese of Geneva, around 1160. It was originally built in Romanesque style and was completed a hundred years later in Gothic style. A Neo-Classical main facade was added in the 18th century.

The area beneath the Cathedral has recently been excavated extensively, revealing a history of the site dating back to the time of the Roman Empire.[citation needed] From the 8th to 10th centuries it was one of three cathedrals to coexist on the site. The present building has grown from a cathedral devoted to ecclesiastical use and an early Christian funerary cult; the other two structures, subsumed in the 12th century by the growth of the surviving building, were apparently for different uses, one for public sacraments and the other for church teachings.

The German painter Konrad Witz painted an altarpiece, the so-called St. Peter Altarpiece, for the Cathedral in 1444, now in the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire, Geneva, which contains his composition, the Miraculous Draught of Fishes.

Currently, every summer a German Protestant minister is present, making it possible to hold bilingual services and meetings of both German and French Protestant worshippers. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Pierre_Cathedral

One of my favorite tree subjects is a combination of two or more different species coexisting in a single scene. The coastal redwoods have their rhododendron whereas the sequoias have their dogwoods. Contrasting in both size and colors, these combinations of trees bring striking interest to otherwise static scenes. Mostly known for their spring blooms, dogwoods also exhibit brilliant fall colors.

Ever since photographing the sequoias in winter, I have continued a project of documenting them throughout the seasons. It was difficult nailing down the exact time of peak autumn colors this year. California

Although most of the dogwoods were past peak, Aaron and I managed to find a few areas with healthy leaves full of colors. This tree was one of the most brilliant we came across with its deep red leaves. We were also lucky with the sunset conditions as high clouds helped diffuse the evening light and provided glow on the sequoia trunks.

A female great white shark shares the scene with numerous bait fish. Despite common misconceptions about white sharks (and sharks, in general), they don't attempt to eat everything that moves and can often be finicky eaters. It's not uncommon to see a variety of different smaller fish species swimming in close proximity to Guadalupe's white sharks.

Nearly did a spit-take when I came across this image while perusing photos from a session back in October. I shot this Halloween decoration right where I found it: the middle of a cemetery. The juxtaposition of a skeleton hanging in a place normally reserved for solemn reverence was exquisite. I posted a low angle shot of this same figure a while back that seemed to convey a sense of passive anguish. I was so bent on that one camera angle that I overlooked the other shots taken that morning. It's often that way for me. I get preoccupied with a preconceived notion of how to present a photo, and tend to run with it. But in any given session there are dozens of shots from diverging angles that later prove interesting. If there's one thing I've learned doing this kind of work it's to not be limited during the shoot. My process now is to shoot with utter abandon and worry about sorting it out once I return home. Processing photos on a computer seems to dial into a different part of my brain than the one that sees life through the viewfinder. It's essential to allow them both to coexist. Anyway back to this image, it struck me as a much more aggressive stance, the skeleton leaning forward as if on the march, an angel of death in search of souls. And me crouched down hoping that grinning skull head does not turn in my direction. I'm sure watching the film Jason and the Argonauts recently and witnessing the epic sword fight with the angry skeletons fueled my imagination here.

Right now they coexist peacefully.

February 26th, 2022 marked the second to last day of normal operation on the Chicago South Shore’s famous 1.8 mile stretch of street running on 10th and 11th streets in Michigan City Indiana. The railroad and the community have shared this stretch of roadway since 1908, and over the past 114 years much has changed. Michigan City and the surrounding areas have changed, the railroad has changed and modernized with the times, but one of the things that, for the most part, has stayed relatively the same is the presence of the Chicago South Shore & South Bend railroad and its interurban and freight trains running down the middle of the streets. The community and railroad have coexisted fairly well over the past 114 years considering trains and motorists share the same piece of roadway and the proximity of homes and businesses to the railroad.

However, change is inevitable whether we like it or not I guess, and soon the famous street running will be significantly altered. The streets will close and vehicle traffic will be detoured onto alternate routes. Interurban passenger service will use buses to bridge this stretch of railroad, and freight traffic will mostly run at night. Once the $500 million project is complete the vehicle traffic will return to a new one-way road, the interurban passenger and freight trains will once again run on a more normal schedule but will return to a new double track main through town. The project is designed to help with congestion, efficiency, and safety through Michigan City. But at the same time it comes at a loss of the famous street running that was a time capsule glimpse back into a forgotten era of railroading over 100 years ago.

As the sun dips down close to the horizon on this late February day, a pair of CSS SD38-2s run light down 10th street, as people from all over flocked to Michigan City to document the final moves of normal operations down what could be the most famous stretch of street running left in North America.

"It´s coexistence or no existence." Bertrand Russell.

When I visited Singapore for the first time, it surprised me how in this corner of the world, different cultures had been able to coexist, developing the best of themselves, to create one of the richest countries in the world today. A modern city that at the same time had known how to respect certain neighborhoods that still preserve their own cultural spirit. In few cities of the world one can pass from the skyscrapers to the British colonial buildings, and from Chinatown to Little India and then to the Muslim quarter, in such short distances.

When the British took control of Singapore in 1819, they reached an agreement with the Sultan of Johor, so that he could maintain his residence in the Kampong Glam neighborhood, around which Malaysian merchants and other Muslims also settled. That is why here a mosque was built and over the years underwent modifications to be adapted to the growing Muslim population, to the point that in 1924 it was decided to build a new one, which was completed 4 years later, and remains nowadays as the main monument of the neighborhood.

To photograph it, it is much better to take advantage of the sunrise, since the surrounding streets and the access to the mosque remain empty, but the beautiful lights are still on and give even more charm to its minarets and golden domes.

"Es coexistencia o no existencia". Bertrand Russell.

For 119 pictures in 2019, this represents the theme "Coexisting". Who would have thought turkey enchiladas with a pumpkin cream sauce, and smothered in cheese, could coexist with brocolli. Or that turkey could coexist with pumpkin sauce in the same dish. The filling is roasted turkey thigh meat, roasted and chopped poblano chiles, and onion. The enchilada sauce is just pureed pumpkin and heavy cream. The flavor is a little subtle, but the entire dish is delicious. Although I probably did overdo it with the cheese topping.

Yangon (formerly Rangoon) is the capital of the Yangon Region of Myanmar. Founded in the early 11th century by the Mon people, the city became the capital of the country under British rule following three Anglo-Burmese wars (1824-1826, 1852-1853, and 1885). It remained the capital after independence from the British was acheived in 1948. The capital was moved to Naypyidaw some 330 km (205 mi.) to the north in 2006.

The Shwedagon Pagoda is 112 m (367.5 ft.) tall and lies atop Singuttara Hill in Yangon. It is the most sacred Pagoda in Myanmar. In 2018, the pagoda was added to the UNESCO Tentative List of World Heritage Sites. The submission states: "According to legend, the Shwedagon Pagoda was constructed more than 2,600 years ago, which would make it the oldest Buddhist stupa in the world. Currently scholarly research by historians and archaeologists indicate that the pagoda was first built between the 6th and 10th centuries AD." and "According to local chronologies dating from the 14th century CE, the Shwedagon is believed to enshrine the bodily relics of the historical Buddha, Gautama, as well as artifactual relics purported by long tradition to be associated with the three other most recent previous Buddhas of our present era (kalpa). The enshrined relics include: eight strands of hair from the head of Gautama Buddha, as well as a piece of the robe believed to have belonged to Kassapa Buddha, a water filter attributed to Konagamana Buddha, and the staff of Kakusandha Buddha." The crown at the top of the stupa is decorated with 5,448 diamonds and 2,317 rubies. A 76-carat diamond is set at the highest point of the stupa.

Ancient Burmese animist beliefs included the existence of natural spirits called Nats, such as those of forests, mountains and winds. The spirits of humans deified after their deaths also became integrated into the Nat pantheon. Of these human spirits, thirty-seven of them were designated Great Nats. Nat worship coexists with Buddhism in Myanmar, and many Buddhist sites have Nat shrines within them, including the Shwedagon Pagoda. Thagyamin, the highest ranking Nat, is seen here in the small chapel at left. Believed to be the King of Heaven, he is the only one of the thirty-seven Great Nats who did not suffer a sudden and violent death. Guardian lions seen here are three of many that protect the pagoda.

Pedestrians, Motorcyclists and cows coexist somewhat peacefully in the narrow alleys of Agra's bazaar.
