A medical simulation mannequin rests (SimMan from Laerdal) between workshops in the Simulation Center at St. George's University.
On this particular weekend the University was hosting an outreach workshop, inviting physicians from Grenada's General Hospital to brush up on their Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) skills. The University's inventory of SimMan technology allows for evidence-based case scenarios programmed, controlled, and monitored via wireless connection to play out complex emergencies.
SimMan has a long list of tricks up his sleeve... He speaks, has palpable pulses, reactive pupils, and can blink. He can cough, convulse, and cry liquid tears. You can start an IV, watch his chest rise and fall, hear breath sounds and heart rhythms. He can bleed, be defibrillated, catheterized, and more.
But somehow, as impressive as they are, I still can't shake that strange feeling of being all alone alone and surrounded a dozen blinking, breathing mannequins.

By using the generator at Moqi-Q, I was able to generate a vanity QR code. Because QR codes have built-in safeguards against corrupted data, we can "corrupt" the data ourselves so we can put our own text in the QR code. Scan it -- it really works!
Airshow Wings of Freedom - Ede NL - 2019
In 2019 it is 75 years since Operation Overlord, the code name of the Western allies, started on 6 June 1944 to liberate Western Europe. It would ultimately be quite a fight and Operation Market Garden would go into the history books as the grandest airborne ever. To support the advance well, temporary airports were built at various locations, that proved to be very effective and made a major contribution to the liberation. This field in Ede, a central city in the Netherlands, was one of them. Through various activities, the awareness of freedom is brought to the attention and shown to the Dutch public through 75 years of remembering, commemorating and celebrating together. On this day there is again a real airport with a runway and a control tower. More than 30,000 visitors attended this day.
The aviation event and the WWII airport are incomplete without the activities on the ground. Because we want to match the 'Forty Years' image as well as possible, a historically correct camp is being built. Around 250 re-enactors and historically dressed people depict the daily life of the Second World War. At the camp you can experience what life at an Allied airport looked like. You will encounter pilots, bomber crews and ground personnel from both the Royal Air Force, the US Army Air Force but also the counterpart, the German Luftwaffe. In addition, the various Allied army units are well represented, such as the Airborne troops, both American and British and Canadian. The entertaining staff such as fitters, chefs, office staff and nursing staff are also abundantly present. All of these people live and live throughout the event at the camp and therefore take along a suitable collection of vehicles, weapons and utensils alongside tents.

1/43 code 3 conversion of a BMW 330d Touring xDrive auto in the livery of South Wales Police.
I was contacted on here recently and asked to make this specific South Wales Traffic Car.
The decals were custom-made and applied by me. They are accurate with correct number plates, roof codes etc.
I have also applied tracker aerials, a comms aerial, a roof-mounted ANPR camera and a wi-fi receiver.
As with all of my models, it is supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
Unfortunately my photography skills are not as good as model-making skills, so some of the photos are not great!

On saturday 24th june we woke up, had breakfast and got ourselves ready. Then we marched to our target of the day: the OBA coal terminal of the Amsterdam harbour.
Washington DC, The Walter E. Washington Convention Center, the evening of March 2, 2015. For a second day social justice activists affiliated with Code Pink, Jewish Voice For Justice, AVAAZ, US Campaign To End The Israeli Occupation, Boycott From Within, Answer Coaltion and other peace and faith groups demonstrate in front of the Convention Center to protest the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) yearly DC meeting. AIPAC is regarded by many as the most powerful and fearsome lobbying group in town. Earlier in the day Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the AIPAC attendees here. Tomorrow he will speak to a joint session of the US Congress although many members will not attend what they see as an event planned to disrespect President Obama and derail sensitive US negotiations with Iran over nuclear proliferation. Interactions between the DC cops and the eighty or so demonstrators were peaceful and respectful.
