Intro to Typography Project: Using simple typographic techniques, construct a textual-visual metonymy or synecdoche. Using a single word and an environment, place the letters you constructed somewhere in the environment where the word has a meaningful relationship (metonymy or synecdoche) with the environment. Photograph the forms in the environment using the highest resolution possible. Take multiple images, experimenting with camera angle, lighting, cropping, et cetera. All photographs must be horizontal. I chose a metonymy and the relationship of society and technology. I use a QR code to construct the word society and then wrap them around and QR code block. I purposely obscured the word to draw a close relationship to how technology is affecting society as a whole. Dimensions 8.5x8.5x8.5 (approximately)
