The Severn Valley Railway would once again hold its annual Spring Steam Gala between the 18th and 21st of April 2024. This video covers the event on Friday and Saturday.
The visiting locos for this year's edition were ex-LSBCR/Southern/BR Terrier no. '72, Fenchurch,' ex-GWR/BR 1366 class no. '1369' —standing in for unavailable '813'— and ex-LH&JC/NBC 0-6-2 no. '29'; new-build GWR Grange no. '6880, Betton Grange' was due to be the star attraction, but was unavailable due to still being prepared for its first steamings, hence rebuilt West Country 'Taw Valley' being drafted back into temporary service to cover the duties 'Betton Grange' would've performed. A selection of the railway's home fleet was also in service.
Also in attendance was newly overhauled ex-BR built LNER A2 no '60532, Blue Peter', albeit on display at Kidderminster, after performing (and due for more) test runs on the line in preparation for mainline service with LSL later in the year. Also featured in this video is the Bridgnorth Cliff Railway.
Due to this video’s length, it has been broken down into ‘Chapters’ where certain parts of the video have been labelled correspondingly.

Photograph taken at an altitude of One metres (Sea level) at 19:47pm on Wednesday 17th May 2023 on an unamed and uninhabited by mankind wilderness, some distance from Dawley Passage Provincial Park and Meares Island in the Alberni-Clayoquot region, just off Tofino, British Columbia in Canada.
I was stationed in a seventy year old house I was renting in Campbell Street, Tofino and booked a place on a twenty three feet long Zodiac inflatable in full life saving gear with Remote Passages Marine Excursions at 51 Wharf Street in Tofino.
Here we see a Harbor seal (Phoca vitulina), also known as the common seal, a true seal found along temperate and Arctic marine coastlines of the Northern Hemisphere. The most widely distributed species of pinniped, they are found in coastal waters of the northern Atlantic and Pacific oceans, Baltic and North seas.
