Photograph taken at an altitude of Four metres at 07:59am on Monday 15th May 2023 off Lone Cone Road and Campbell Street where I was staying in an old house in Tofino, British Columbia.
The Golden Eagle (Aquila Chrysaetos),is the most widely distributed species of Eagle, and large specimens have been recorded with a wingspan in excess of Eight feet and males weighing fourteen pounds. They have been know to maintain home territories of up to 200 kilometres and can dive at speeds of two hundred Miles per hour.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Five metres at 12.07pm on Monday 29th May 2014 off 2903 Ocean Boulevard, Victoria, on the Esquimalt Lagoon Migratory Bird Sanctuary, on the Juan De Fuca Strait, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
The pathways here are strewn with driftwood and foliage that provide food and nesting material for the many species of birds which visit. The Lagoon is one of seven Migratory Bird Sanctuaries in British Columbia, and an important stopover for birds journeying between North and South America. Visitors include geese and Swans, Bald Eagles and Great Blue Herons, plus many other species of birds.

this note was enclosed with a blu-ray disc i recently purchased ("planet earth" - an excellent series in HD). would upgrading my drivers give me access to a new CODEC, or perhaps install a new set of revoked AACS keys? hmmm.

Ex-LMS/BR Duchess no. '6233, Duchess of Sutherland' is seen passing through the high-level line in Tamworth on its way to Tyseley in order to operate a selection of railtours with TOC 'Vintage Trains'.
I took an aerial photo I have of Georgia Tech in 1958 and a screenshot of Google Maps satellite view, and I used an image editor to trim them and make things line up as closely as possible. Then I used Processing to morph from one image to the other. It can be seen from the video that objects at the top of the images line up pretty well, while objects in the bottom of the images do not. This indicates that the zoom levels of the images are slightly different. This video uses the Sorenson codec with lossless quality.

An interesting title until you reaslise we set up a mobile studi in the reception area of St Richard's in Chichester and broadcast live from there using a pair of telephone codecs.
Chichester Hospital Radio will celebrate it's 40th Anniversary in 2012 and this image is part of a collection gathered over the years.
From this archive we can look back and discover many familiar faces that are still with the association, all be it they are a little older, and a few absent friends that are sadly no longer with us.
