Julie Petruzzi’s 13 year old son shows us all how it’s done on his first cod fishing trip. These nice cod were caught off the Miss Montauk out of Montauk, NY recently. Excellent!

Certain cod had a deformity on the top of the head, and were known as "king cod". It was thought that when they were hung from the ceiling they could predict the weather, given that they would move when the barometric pressure changed.
The fish in the middle is not a cod, but a sturgeon.

By the way, "Cape Cod" in the title refers to where the photo was taken, not the name of the butterfly. If anyone knows the name of this particular butterfly, please post. Thank you! (It reminds me of the beautiful Monarch we have here in California).
