From the picfic shoot. Coco, Colline, and Jolie went to the side of the bed pillows to write their Christmas wish lists. Colline is being shy about her list though. I'm finding Coco's personality to be still at default ,but endearing... much like how Jolie was when she arrived. He so far is very calm, cool, and collected just like she was. Now Jolie is very "matter of fact" and blunt, whereas Colline has become much more girlie. One of the only distinct traits of Coco is that he has a unique fondness for his mother, Raphia.

Every time I set up a studio portrait shoot, Coco hops up on the stool and sits there allowing me to get my flash levels just right. Thanks Cokes.
I adopted my new pooch Coco last June 2010 from The Lost Dogs' Home.
I popped in to try and find a new buddy as my last pooch had passed away and I needed a new companion.
I was thinking a small dog as I have always had Daschounds or Jack Russells. Wow how did I manage to come home with a 23kg German Short Haired Pointer?
It was those chocolate eyes staring at me and her beautiful chocolate coat.
I went outside to think about it and placed a deposit. I cried as soon as i left the gates. I went straight to the markets bought a new dog lead, collar and food and hightailed it straight back to The Lost Dogs' home to rescue the beautiful Coco.
She now has a loving home and while a little timid at first she now loves the beach and gets lots of pats as she has her daily walk down Swan Street. She is such a joy to have as a pet.
I think there is something about rescue dogs, they give you so much love because deep down they know you have saved them :)
Thank you

Coco prefers to play with Pickles, as she is a bit less ummmm... crazy I guess I could say. She is so submissive, where Peanut just takes the world by storm. They are just so wonderful. This was taken later last evening, and the light was not so good, but I will try and get more of them so you can see actually what they are like.
I HAVE to get a little video of Coco playing with both of them. It is so funny!

Well today was day 2 for having Coco as my foster. This little girl is afraid of everything...especially humans.
The two areas I wanted to work on today was socialization and walking on leash. And she made some great progress in each area.
Successes for the day:
Walked on leash without needing to stop every 30 seconds. And was able to walk at a much quicker pace. She is also able to enter and exit through the door with greater ease.
Tail wagging....this happened on multiple occasions...yippee.
Tail not always tucked between her legs.
Hanging out downstairs with me and the boyz on the couch, vs. hiding upstairs in one of the dog beds.
Showed me her belly on a couple of occasions looking for a scritch.
Being able to wonder about 15 feet away from me in an outside fenced in setting. She only did this a few times...but she is always at me heels when we are outside.
And the thing I am most proud of- her going to meet a stranger. It took a while before she eventually went over. But she did it, go some scritches, and was ready to follow her home. And the best part is the lady fell in love with Coco, and her and her husband have been considering another dog. So might be a potential adopter when she is ready for adoption!
Coco is a grade mare by registered MFT parents, or so the story goes.
She does a terrific foxtrot and she's 13.2 hands so she's also been bred to Lil Champagne Tease for a gaited pony in the fall 2007. Her foals will not qualify for the MFT Pony registry but will be valuable breeding stock to breed back to a reg MFT for a reg MFT pony. She's been mostly a trail mare and only had a couple foals before now. Her foals will still qualify to be registered with the AGPR (American Gaited Pony Registry).
