Well today was day 2 for having Coco as my foster. This little girl is afraid of everything...especially humans.
The two areas I wanted to work on today was socialization and walking on leash. And she made some great progress in each area.
Successes for the day:
Walked on leash without needing to stop every 30 seconds. And was able to walk at a much quicker pace. She is also able to enter and exit through the door with greater ease.
Tail wagging....this happened on multiple occasions...yippee.
Tail not always tucked between her legs.
Hanging out downstairs with me and the boyz on the couch, vs. hiding upstairs in one of the dog beds.
Showed me her belly on a couple of occasions looking for a scritch.
Being able to wonder about 15 feet away from me in an outside fenced in setting. She only did this a few times...but she is always at me heels when we are outside.
And the thing I am most proud of- her going to meet a stranger. It took a while before she eventually went over. But she did it, go some scritches, and was ready to follow her home. And the best part is the lady fell in love with Coco, and her and her husband have been considering another dog. So might be a potential adopter when she is ready for adoption!
Coco the eloquent bride looks stunning in her rosette gown. I love her icy grey eye chips. They look so haunting.

Let me start off by saying that this set of pictures are my absolute FAVORITE.

She is a total joy to work with, as was Andrew. I had a blast and am so excited to work with him in the future! As for Coco? We already have our next shoot planned (:

A really creepy painting from my brother Coco. The original is still available for purchase (at the time of this writing).
Coco Palms Resort was a resort hotel in Wailuā, Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi. The resort was visited by numerous movie stars and was also the scene of Elvis Presley's film Blue Hawaii. The resort has been closed since being hit by Hurricane Iniki in 1992.
A bit blurry shot inside Cottage 56 of the King's Cottages, at Coco Palms Resort. This shows the louvers over the screened windows (they did not have glass), the bamboo ceiling which survived the years pretty well, and the ceiling lamps.
Coco is my own pattern and my very first bear with an opened mouth. He is made from a nice black brown tipped synthetic fur. All my bears are hand sewn.

In attempting to play with a cat toy without actually getting too close to the kitten, Coco perched precariously on the back of the couch and gradually started to sink into the cushions.
Coco originates from Mombasa and has spent years travelling around Africa taking in the cultures of a vibrant continent. In her series of books 'Coco Cooks Africa' she revisits some of her favourite places and cooks some of the best meals she has tasted. Coco Cooks Sudan recipes are full of African and Middle Eastern influence a fusion of herbs and spices that are unique to East African Cuisine.
This is what the Coco Palms Resort looks like currently. It was damaged by Hurricane Iniki in 1992, and nothing has been done to it since then. Some developer recently bought it and plans to rebuild the resort as luxury condos.
My parents stayed here on their honeymoon.
So happy to finally have a Coco! She's adorable with her freckles too! Thanks Liz ^___^
