ON COURSE TO CURSED – When aspiring musician Miguel (voice of Anthony Gonzalez) ends up in the Land of the Dead in Disney•Pixar’s “Coco,” his family takes him to the Department of Family Reunions where a busy clerk (voice of Gabriel Iglesias) informs him that he’s cursed. To return to the Land of the Living, Miguel will need a magical marigold petal and the blessing of a family member—but, according to the clerk, the family member can include any condition she likes—even forbidding music forever. The always-lovely Coco signing CDs after her fantastic set at the Ironwood Stage & Grill tonight. I know it looks like she's blowing a kiss to a photo of me, but since she's now a happily-married mother of a 9-month-old daughter, let's pretend that's not true.
I've been in love with Coco's voice for years, and tonight's show only reinforced why. So great.

Coco, Katinka's mum, is so incredible black that she's really hard to catch on a photo and not be just an ink-stain. If you want to see her, view large!
Another shot of my cat Coco. I was really just messing around with the new lens here. But it shows how well it resolves all the fine details of the cat's face. Here whisckers and hair as well as capturing the intense green of her eyes that morning. That's what really caught my eye were her eyes!

لتصنع ثورة في عالم الأزياء النسائية وتحررها من القيود.
ثلاثون عاما بعد وفاتها, تأثيرها مازال يلمس في عالم الأزياء.

ولدت في 19 آب 1883 في
Saumur فرنسا
. Gabrielle Bouhem Coco Chanel, كانت ابنة غير شرعية
لفتاة متجر ومتجولة في الشوارع,
كانت من الذين لايعرفون الشيء الكثير عن الحياة المستقرة والراحة.
أمها ماتت عندما كان عمرها 6 سنوات
ولم يمر وقت طويل حتى هجرها أبوها أيضا.
ذهبت مع عائلتها وعاشت عند خالتهم في
France, Auvergne
وهناك تعلمت شانيل الأتكيت
الذي اثر على سلوكها بعد ذلك في مجال عملها الوظيفي.
مع عماتها تعلمت أن تكون صبية مؤدبة الجلوس في وضع مستقيم
وتعلمت كيفية الخياطة.
تعلمت الخياطة بسن مبكر
بدلا من اللعب بالدمى.
وكانت أيضا تقضي وقت في لعب الرياضة والفروسية
والأنشطة الغير نمطية للفتاة في ذلك الوقت.
عندما كان عمرها 17 سنة, أرسلت شانيل للميتم
حيث الراهبات اللواتي يتوكلن رعاية الأطفال.
دعموا مواهبها وجهودها في الحياكة
وساعدوها للحصول على العمل لبناء مواهبها.
لكن شعرت بالملل مع البساطة التي كان يعيش فيها الآخرين
وقررت متابعة حياة الإثارة والبطولة.
فجأة ذهبت إلى مدينة الطواحين لتكون مغنية ملهى.

لم يثبت الغناء قوة شانيل
ولكن التجربة كانت مثمرة بأن تعرفت على
Balsan Etienne,
رجل غني ووريث للنسيج الذي أعجبه طموح هذه الفتاة الشابة
وأصبحت واحدة من عشيقاته.
هو كان عنده العديد ورجعت مجددا تشعر شانيل بالملل
وبدأت تتقرب منه بأفكار تجارية.
ولأنه كان يملك كثيرا من المال, قرر أعطاء شانيل المبلغ الذي تريده
لفتح المتجر الذي تريده في باريس.
وعينت عندها ثلاث موظفين من المراهقين
وفعلا كان هذا أول نجاح لشانيل في عالم الموضة.
أصبحت مشهورة ومعروفة.
بدأت بصنع أسما لها وكانت تريد التركيز على مذاق الفخامة.
مع متجرها للألبسة والقبعات المتواضعة,
كانت متميزة عن غيرها. لم تهتم مثل الآخرين بالألبسة الضيقة,
زائد عن ذلك اختارت ألوان غامقة وبسيطة
التي أخذت أفكارها من لباس الرجال
وأيضا من لباس الراهبات التي تربت معهم.
مع ذوقها للحياة المترفة,
قررت شانيل ترك باليسان ووصلت بصديقه Onto,
رجل ثرثري غني, أسمه بالكامل Arthur Bay Capel.
الاثنين عاشا حياة عاطفية
حتى حصول حادثة سيارة لكابل في أول أيامهما مع بعض في عام 1919.
وهو الذي ساعدها لفتح متجر لها وأعطاها المال لذلك.

في مدة لاتزيد عن أربع سنوات - أعمال شانيل أصبحت جدا ناجحة.
واستطاعت تسديد جميع ديون كابل
التي تلقتها على أساس أنها هدية.
غمرت نفسها في عالم الأزياء
وبدلا من زخرفة قطع منافسيها بدأت تطور اختراعاتها التي كانت قليلة.
وفي عام 1971 توفيت كوكو شانيل عن عمر 88 سنه ..
بعد ان احدثت ثوره في عالم المرأه والازياء
..ورغم مضي وقت طويل على وفاتها
الا ان شهرتها وعبقريتها مازالت الى وقتنا الحالي ..
I finally managed to unpack Coco over the weekend and tried new eyes on her x3 They seem to be a sort of pale, mauve-ish brown shade. I think they look great on her! I just don't know their brand as they came with Charlotte, whose first owner replaced her default with these (they are from a Japanese dealer). If I ever find out where they are from, I'd love to get more! They have gorgeous depth.
