Com um figurino de saias rodadas, blusas de rendas,lantejoulas,bordados e ao som das alpercatas O coco das Afilhadas apresenta um espetáculo bonito de se ver.
As canções e preparação musical do grupo,tem uma contribuição do multiartista Toca de Ogan conhecido internacionalmente por ser artista exclusivo da banda Chico Science Nação Zumbi,hoje Nação Zumbi que durante 03 meses aplicou para elas algumas oficinas.
Além de fazer a diferença por romper uma cultura de domínio entre os homens na música percussiva e por desde a infância vivenciarem o fazer cultural como brincantes de diversos grupos,o Coco das Afilhadas traz a irreverência,a disposição,a força e a beleza da juventude feminina.
