little lacy doily made for a giveaway on my blog. The pattern was from a Japanese crochet book - Lacework mini-doily.
Every project seems to produce new scraps ... even scrap quilts. At least, I know what to do with the new white and cream scraps. I'll make Christmas presents: coasters, placemats, pouches, notebook covers. It doesn't matter what I make, as long as it is "low volume" because, as usually, I cut way too much squares and strips.

Gosh, I love these both. The sunset was so pretty and Disneyland is decorated excellently with the most gorgeous flowers in the spring (my favorite photo of the flowers and one of my fave photos ever to come soon) and uuuugh.
I think I was trying to focus on the flowers here but I like how soft it came out.

SDNX #2101 and #3002 are double-heading train #651 for Oceanside, delayed at the Santa Fe Depot due to a brush fire near University City.
Running on the route that hosted the first Amtrak F40PHs, Coaster's five MK-built F40PHM-2Cs, the last F40s in SoCal, will be replaced by Siemens Chargers in the coming years.
The Surf Line looks much more impressive than usual at Oceanside, briefly featuring four parallel tracks. It's something of a local transit hub, as the northernmost stop of the Coaster commuter line, the western end of the Sprinter light rail to Escondido, and the southernmost station for Los Angeles' Metrolink (ordinarily,) along with Amtrak Surfliner and bus services.
A rare appearance of one of the Coaster Wright StreetDecks on the 14/14C services. 945 (SK67 FJD) pulls out of Peacehaven's Meridian Centre this afternoon, 1st June, 2020.
Nothing like the food from a neon 50's diner to prepare for a stomach-churning, somersaulting rollercoaster ride!

My entry for the Jolly Roger Contest on the Forbidden Cove, category Ships.
It's the former "Albion" that used to be a 18th century merchant coaster. Now it's a speedy pirate ship, that can get away easily in shallow waters all along the Danish coast.
Sails are made of thick paper and the rigging is custom as well.
I've made a free pattern and tutorial available for this project on my blog: hello-refabulous.blogspot.com/2012/12/diy-teapot-trivet-a...
Enjoy!
Made from mostly reclaimed fabrics, layered with craft fleece and Insul-Bright. The colors are awful in this photo due to poor lighting (sorry!) and are really much richer in person.
