Finally a day with sunlight. No luck finding any wildlife but at least I was not hit by a train.

In September 2020, I made several day trips to the Bessemer to shoot the daily ore train with IC SD70's, just thinking that something is going to happen to these standard cabs eventually. The change wasn't long in coming. One of the classic Bessemer shots that was much more elusive than it should have been is this view at the Orr Rd bridge near Mercer. We've all been there, didn't plan correctly, CF'd at the last minute, ... Third time was the ticket on 9/23/2020
CP 119 through Cherrywood with a odd choice of power! Pair of CN gevos leads the way from Mtl with a huge string of solid auto racks.
With the escarpment impeding on the sun, CN 149 is about to take the curve at Milbase, seen here thundering past the switch to the glass lead.
CN L517 strolls west a few hours after leaving Belleville with 4 units and 16 cars. Later in Oshawa to lift a good 7000 ft of extra cars, along with planned to get more at Ajax. The Ajax stop was canned due to them being very short on hours after the countless slowdowns.

CN FPA-4 6775, F9B 6618 and GP9 4105 are in charge of Windsor - Toronto train #146, as they approach the Denfield Road bridge, between Komoka and London. Fresh snow has fallen and the fast moving train had whipped it up.

CN 5322 leads train A434 at Brantford as they stop to make a lift. On a night that was very stormy I got lucky with them stopping to work here.
CN 2449 South cruises out of Culver with empties for Proctor on June 20, 2018. Power was 2449, 2408, and 2131 on these U714 Minntac stone empties. The two cowls have been long time power on these limestone runs, but the trailing 2131 was just added to this consist. It took the place of fellow standard cab Dash 8 #2038 that locked an axle on the northbound run the previous day.
Shoving platform CN 79834 is leading as the Pointe St-Charles Switcher heads out of the yard to pick up grain empties at a P&H mill. Above is the right of way for the REM light rail line, which is slated to open to the public later this year.

CN's eastbound Petrolia wayfreight approaches Denfield Road, between Komoka and Hyde Park, led by dual-service RS-18 3121. It is running short hood first since there are were no turning facilities at Petrolia. The Petrolia branch, which left the CN Strathroy Subdivision west of Wyoming, is long gone.
