Compact Muon Spectrometer (CMS), the name is kind of ironic. When completed, CMS will be world's second largest high energy physics particle detector. It's size is half that of ATLAS but weighs eight times as much! It's located in the French part of CERN physics lab.
For ages now this had been registered DRS 122A but now wears the plate from PA132, which is currently being stripped for spares.
