Lance Cpl. Mitchell R. The equipment will be used in flood recovery efforts by a detachment of Marines with 9th Engineer Support Battalion who will be working with the Royal Thai Air Force to conduct water removal operations at the Don Mueang Airfield in Bangkok. U.S. forces working in conjunction with III Marine Expeditionary Force Flood Relief Command Element, as well as, interagency partners continue to support and assist the Royal Government of Thailand through combined operations to provide humanitarian assistance and flood relief to the citizens of Thailand. A Marine from CLR-35 clearing debris at an elementary school in Ishinomaki during a bilateral cleanup that focused on getting the schools functional enough to reopen in several months. Getting the children back to some sense of normalcy was a point of focus for relief efforts. The cleanup came as part of Operation Tomodachi.

A KC-130J Super Hercules taxis after landing at Sacheon Air Base, Republic of Korea March 1. The aircraft transported Marines who will support and increase offloading capabilities during Exercise Freedom Banner 14 set to start March 10. Freedom Banner is an annual exercise that allows the Marine Corps to work with ROK armed forces and exercise deployment and cargo offloading capabilities.
