Cloverleaf, or Quadrifoglio, badges denote high-end in comfort and engine size variants of Alfa Romeo cars.

The image first appeared in 1923 when Ugo Sivocci presented one prior to the start of the 14th Targa Florio as a good luck token to the team.

This became the symbol of competition Alfas, denoting higher performance.

Some modern Alfa Romeos wear a cloverleaf badge which is typically a green four leaf clover on a white background (Quadrifoglio Verde), but variants of blue on white have been recently observed as well.

An empty food court - Cloverleaf Mall in Chesterfield County near Richmond used to be a magnet but is today almost completely empty. Plans for redevelopment of the site are underway.

Heading into Winnipeg for Vincent Massey Collegiate's 50th Reunion, I spied a familiar landmark - the cloverleaf at the intersection of Highway # 12 and the Transcanada Highway. Highway #12 heads south to Steinbach or north to Beausejour from this point.

This photo was taken for the press at the time the Cloverleaf closed in 1973. In the picture are Herbert Scott, who started the business in the 1930s, Audrey Everett, my aunt who was running it when it closed, David Pottle and Sid Taylor who did the cooking.

This is the inside of the Cloverleaf Cafe when it opened its doors to the public. The lady behind the counter nearest to the camera is my mother, Gwenneth Plummer. She was employed first as Manageress but soon became a partner and she worked at and part-owned the Cloverleaf until the 1970s.
