The genus Lantana, in the Family Verbenaceae, includes more than 150 species of hairy-leaved and often prickly-stemmed shrubs and herbaceous perennials native to the tropical Americas. Most are hardy only to USDA Zone 8. All produce verbena-like flowers in stalked clusters arising from the leaf axils or at the ends of branches

The final stage of the Mujib Valley & Mujib River is where it ends in the Dead Sea which is just a few hundred meters behind the Camera.
The site elevation is 400 Meters below Sea Level.

In the background appears the beautiful Nabateaen Ampitheater which is carved right from the mountain rock. It's a little different from the other ancient theaters in Jordan because of its (grand) setting and the pinkish-red color. Surrounded by a lot of small Nabataean tombs, affirming that it's a part of Petra. The panoramic views of this place from the trek to the Treasury viewpoint are also spectacular.

Glastonbury Tor and the tower of St Michael's church, Somerset
