It was rainy or cloudy everyday during our stay at Lake Louise. But I still woke up at 4 AM every morning to take a chance. This was the only time that the light went through the clouds for couple minutes and I was lucky to be there.
I took this photo on April seventeen, and I thought, this is it, spring is here to stay, besides, the signs are there, we are seeing flowering trees, rhododendron in full bloom, squirrels running all over the place, birds singing to future mates, but it turned out that we had to wait a little longer to feel a more steady and warmer weather, in fact, we are still waiting here in PA. We are experiencing a variety of temperatures that go from seventies to back to the forties. The rain has been almost steady, and everything is amazingly green, but it feels like we are not in PA, but in Seattle!
Well, the house remodeling and fixing will have to wait, and I'm sure we everything will dry up soon, I hope...

Photography is my passion, and nature photography is my favorite.
I have been in Explore for more that a hundred times, and it is an awesome experience to have your photos showcased in such a special way.
I'm in many groups, and I only add my photos to them if they are not private.
I thank your for coming today, for leaving a comment, and make a favorite of yours this photo, (if that is the case) thanks again!
The best part of this forum is the contacts and friends that I have made over the years, that have the same passion for this art that is called photography!
I returned to the tiny town that I stopped by two years ago, and decided to re-shoot this abandoned church, with new perspective like included dirt road, and more trees; nothing close-ups. And it turns out nicely, I think.
Wild daisies—different aperture and depth of field. And light. I went back to photograph these again for summer solstice here. Or winter solstice wherever you are.
Hope you like these.

Description in English and Dutch:

It was a typical gray and cloudy day in Zaandam. During my walk there I saw a beautiful circle in the water from a quay in the city center. It was another circle of life and death.

Het was weer eens zo’n typische grijze en druilerige dag in Zaandam. Tijdens mijn wandeling zag ik vanaf een kade in het centrum een prachtige kring in het water nabij de palen. De cirkel van leven en dood.

"Columbine (Aquilegia spp.) blooms are said to resemble jester's caps, and their effectiveness at attracting hummingbirds will certainly put bird watchers in a merry mood. This herbaceous perennial is an airy plant with attractive clover-like foliage. The blooms come in many colors, and most have spurs: long, narrow strips streaming horizontally from the back of each flower. This plant is generally planted in early spring. Established plants typically bloom for about four weeks starting in mid-spring.
Columbines are short-lived perennial plants, but if you let the flower heads go to seed rather than deadheading them, they will readily self-sow and might soon form a colony of plants when growing conditions are optimal. They have a moderate growth rate, and seeds germinate in about 20 to 30 days. Columbine plants are toxic to humans."
