Shot taken with a Canon EOS 40D set on aperture (Av) priority using an EF 24-105m f/4L IS USM lens tripod mounted. The exposure was taken at 40mm, f/13 for 1/4th of a second at ISO 100 using a Singh-Ray warming polarizer filter. Post capture processing was done in Adobe’s Lightroom 3.

I have not done many black and white conversions from colour but decided to give it a go in this case.

 

Best viewed on black.

Cumulonimbus clouds?

The sun behind a billowing cumulous cloud producing interesting textures and rays in this series of shots taken within a few minutes.

Not that much to shoot and show these days ... but we're alive ... ;-)

Landscapes made of clouds, seen in the infrared part of the spectrum during flights more than eight kilometers above the ground.

We were treated to some beautiful clouds to contrast with the terrain.

Clouds crown cliffs overlooking Lónsfjörður in southern Iceland.

Love fluffy white clouds set on deep blue skies, this one showing off its dark underbelly!

Cloud movement over time yields a 3D effect.; in addition I changed position between shots.

 

This is a stereogram, to be viewed in crossview technique.

Separate images have been taken subsequently.

after i created the sock monkey picture for cloudscape for the ANSH (see the first comment box), the snow stopped and the sun came out. am including this in the montage just to prove that we have had some sun in new england in february!!.....
