This week, Iris and I visited the "Vliehors", the westernmost part of the Wadden Isle of Vlieland. We had great cloudy weather!
Dramatic clouds over the hills. Originally I intended the photo to
be in Black and White but the colours were too intense to be ignored.
Somewhere over the north sea, altitude approximately 10,000 metres.

I have been doing a little playing around with the X-Pro1's panorama setting and while this is certainly not my best cloud shot ever.. (and maybe I have gone a bit far in post processing), I am really surprised at how well this function worked. You just sweep the camera, like the guy does in the iPhone TVC and the camera does the rest. I did not think it would work well on the clouds but is seems seamless! The camera must take about 20 shots going clickity clickity as you sweep the scene and then pastes it all together. Nice!

I drove 75 miles from Santa Fe to Taos Pueblo, only to find that it was closed for the day. I was really disappointed, since the sky was fantastic, and I wouldn't get a second chance the next day.
On the way back to Santa Fe, I was rewarded with this cloudscape, right before the skies opened up.

A wicked bad day of severe weather in South Central Nebraska. For more information on that day... NWS Official Report.
A tornadic supercell with an Ef1 or Ef2 tornado struck the city of Kearney late afternoon. The aftermath wasn't pretty. I sure wanted to be out chasing but I was scheduled for work, and missed the entire historic event.
Power was out, but I did have the camera batteries charged. Geared up, with camera in hand after I got home from work. I took a few minutes during clean up that night to capture these incredible cloudscapes that were on the back side of the storms.
These were the final rays, the last light of the day. These clouds were truly some spectacular stormscape captures to end that day of severe weather!

Shot with my phone to avoid awkward questions of why I wasn't putting all electrical items away when told. The plane survived.
Full size to view my honey ^^ !!! hehehe !!!
I'll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
All day through
In that small café
The park across the way
The children's carousel
The chestnut tree
The wishing well
I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay
I'll always think of you that way
I'll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon
But I'll be seeing you

Panorama. Clearing fog last week. Lots of ships at anchor waiting to come in. Four photos stitched together, hand held. Taken at the Houston/Galveston outer anchorage from the pilotboat "Bayou City".
