Very different from the last one. Above the island in "Sweet Sunset Season," on a different day. The season continues.
On further review, I see rough ocean waves beneath a calm sky, pounding surf in the clouds.
This rapidly developing isolated cumulonimbus (thunderstorm) expanded with a spreading anvil. Air temperature was ~90F.
My Reolink Security Cam is seen at top right. I use this wide field camera for weather action on the horizon.

The skies suggest threatening weather but nothing occurred. These clouds persisted for less than 20 minutes. Looks like mammatus formation but was probably just turbulence punching through a layer of altostratus.
Several species and varieties of cirrocumulus clouds are shown in this image. Iridescence is also highlighted.
These lens shaped altocumulus clouds are often seen east of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains and are a sign of strong winds aloft.
Many times, cirrocumulus will lower to transition to altocumulus.

I sat out with the camera from around 9pm and enjoyed the changing light, the clouds and all the movement. I’ve tried to capture the moment in the clouds here. The sun had set.
Archive picture. After having post the image I felt I was not satisfied and went to aviary and through Enhance option and some extra color, contrast and lighting the result is better to me. Nicer tones and some fine 3D effect.
