Out walking the dogs and the clouds over Tynemouth yesterday afternoon were awesome. I didn’t have to look hard for a composition.

Oh Yeah... Lightning Storm that evening... It came in late, and I had gear packed and ready in case a storm started to brew. Only a 30% chance but that means its gonna storm in Nebraska.

NWS had just issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Phelps & Kearney Nebraska Counties and it was moving right in my direction. I had time to get into position and wait for the show to begin! I ALWAYS have front row tickets to this type of show!

Hanging out the bedroom window taking pictures of clouds during lockdown!

Moody cloudscape over the Union Canal, the clouds with that "electric sky" effect as the sun behind them makes them all glow.

The back edge of a cirrus cloud band had interesting structure at sunrise.

A nearly continuous line of severe thunderstorms stretched from northern New Mexico to southern Wyoming but was only about 10 miles wide.

I received winds South @ 45G55mph as this line moved through at 60 mph.

This image runs from east to west and was taken 45 minutes after the squall passed through.

Cloud type: Stratocumulus stratiformis opacus mamma cumulogenitus?
