A tree stretches out across cottony clouds

Tried my hands with HDR

Comments welcome.

last light over Robin Hood country, golden rays bounce off the cloud's under belly, the drama is all too quickly over.

Taken earlier in the year out towards Inverpolly. Not only was it perfectly still, but I was extremely fortunate to be graced with fantastic clouds. This one almost looks like Ben More Coigach is smoking like a volcano.

Picture of some clouds and a radio tower taken near my house. I didn't have high expectations going into post with this photo, but it really pulled through. I was shocked when I started experimenting with burning the clouds, they had way more detail and complexity than I thought they would.

Also, I shot a ton of shots similar to this one, but I picked this because I happened to catch the bird flying around the tower. Didn't notice him when I was shooting so that was a cool surprise as well.

This was shot on an old Sigma 18-200mm 3.5-6.3 DC, no OS and my Canon T3i.

I love clouds and I thought I'd seen all sorts but this is a formation I don't think I've seen before. Taken from my garden this cumulus is bisected by a thin ribbon of cloud.

Because I stopped to take pictures of this awesome cloud before going into Meijer, I got wet. I think it was worth it.

With clouds hanging below the tallest of buildings tonight, it makes for an odd sight to see such unnatural hues reflect off them. The antennae of the Willis (Sears) Tower are completely covered the clouds and it was unfortunate that their lights were not turned yet when this shot was taken.

One further note about the building that's just out of frame on the left - it doesn't have a single light on inside, it's entire illumination is being sourced from the new construction on the opposite (right) side of the river by that building that is just out of frame. That building on the right practically lights up the entire micro-neighborhood in Chicago's West Loop.

Just another beautiful cloud image. Shot on film, fully manual as usual.

Too far from the harbor in Lipari, the ship fascinated me to photograph it.

"The Sea Cloud (since 2001 also Sea Cloud I because of the shipping company Sea Cloud II) is a luxury cruise ship with four-masted barque rig. In 1931 she was the largest on behalf of the US multimillionaire and stockbroker Edward Francis Hutton (1875-1962) and the most luxurious private yacht ever built in the world with the rigging of a four-masted barque from the Germania shipyard in Kiel under the name Hussar II After war as a US Coast Guard, more than six changes of ownership, long lay time and imminent scrapping, the luxury rooms have undergone restoration work operated under the name Sea Cloud (Sea Cloud I) by the company "Hansa Cloud Ltd." in Malta and operated by "Sea Cloud Cruises GmbH" for cruises. A unique combination of storm clouds and sunset light sneaking through them lit this cloud up to create an incredibly dramatic scene.

I'm getting stoked for spring storms, I went to severe weather spotter training at the end of the ChaserCon convention and now feel equipped with the basic knowledge to chase storms more safely

While flying over the Atlantic on route to Mexico we went through some amazing clouds

One day I was looking at the sea

SD 1 merrill + 10-20mm

I absolutly forgot the name of that place...as I see it's near Cabo Girão

I took the shot on the Alps around Innsbruck. I love the nice bleeding between the cloud and the green grass on the mountain. The heater was not optimal but it could have been surely worst. Comments Welcomed

A contrast in sunsets here. This is taken from a little hill called Twt hill in Caernarfon, across and above the castle to another small hill with a little tower.

The edge of the storm clouds hiding the sun...

Just some truly impressive clouds in black & white.

Best viewed on black and as large as possible, so please press 'L'.

Enjoy!

The Moorish Castle up on a hill over the town of Sintra.

Enough rain to postpone the bike time trials for a while. Wet track had to be dried off. Due to the track being on a steep angle the rain drains fast.
