Flying past a line of thunderstorms I caught a glimpse through a gap between two cumulonimbus storms. Their anvil tops had merged together above me making this window through to clearer skies beyond.

During our trip, one of the most spectacular things I have witnessed was the intense thunderstorms that continued after the sunset. The lightning strikes were easily 1 or more every second, some of them bright enough to make it look like day time.

When you get strikes this often, you begin to be picky about the shape and position of the strikes... We stopped on the roadside to try to capture some strikes and stumbled upon this grain silo in the middle of a field. Despite having plenty of strikes, we wanted one right above the silo. I think all of us in the group managed to capture this stunning cloud-to-cloud strike.

Rain is coming soon...

Suddenly there were many ppl on the street looking up to the sky and taking pics with their phones.

They look like perfect cotton balls! Isn't it amazing? ...I never seen anything like this! ;D
