“I don't think there are enough words in the world that exist to express exactly just how much I love my son! He's right there in the front of my soul, he can turn me into an eagle, a lioness, a tigress, a swan! A goof or a queen! There's no underestimating just how much I love him; I surround him like the ocean surrounds the ships! I never wanted to change the world, until he came along and showed me that he deserves a better world to live in!”

"Creo que no existen suficientes palabras en el mundo para expresar exactamente lo mucho que amo a mi hijo ! El esta allí, enfrente de mi alma, el puede convertirme en un águila, una leona, una tigresa, un cisne! Una boba o una reina! No hay subestimación de lo mucho que lo amo. Le rodeo como el océano rodea las naves! Nunca quise cambiar el mundo, hasta que llegó y me mostró que el merece un mundo mejor para vivir!"

Iridescent clouds, known as "fire rainbows" or "rainbow clouds," occur when sunlight diffracts off water droplets in the atmosphere. And the recipe for these heavenly sights is actually pretty simple.

What happens is that the cumulus cloud, boiling upwards, pushes the air layers above it higher and higher. As the air gets pushed upwards, it expands and cools. And sometimes moisture in that air suddenly condenses into tiny droplets to form a cap cloud.

This "cap"—which scientists call a "pileus"—is the source of the brilliant spectacle.

The droplets in the cap cloud scatter sunlight to form the gorgeous colors.

It was about to rain - some dark clouds were constantly flying around. There were those white ones that just slide over the mountain - creating amazing view. Autumn - this is the word to describe this weather. Soon the trees will get their new clothes and the rain will be constant comapnion.

It's not unusual to see such odd cloud formations forming over Mount Rainier. These are called altostratus clouds, I believe. Those that are a little more knowledgeable on the subject, feel free to correct me.

Ahh, I've just been corrected! These are called lenticular clouds! So good to know! Thank you for your help!

"Lenticular clouds (Altocumulus lenticularis in Latin) are stationary clouds that form in the troposphere, typically in perpendicular alignment to the wind direction. They are often comparable in appearance to a lens or saucer. --Wikipedia

They are quite unusual though, aren't they? Hope you enjoy!

I've always loved clouds, especially when they transform into wonderful things like these ones! So much fun to see! Happy Friday my friends, enjoy the day =)

We've had quite a poor summer so far , but have had one or two nice sunsets. I took this not far from where I live in Central Scotland. I try not to have just sky in my pictures so I've included the little hill and the field of barley.

It's taken at 10mm., I don't do h. d. r. and don't have Photoshop so nothing's been added , I just brought out the colours in Lightroom.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

There is a new star in my sky with your name on it. You will always be with us, my husband's godfather and uncle. R.I.P.

An extraordinary loving person, lawyer, philanthropist, husband, godfather, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Will love you forever.

The lawyer Darcy Paz de Pádua, one of the main builders of the FEAC Foundation, the main social organization in Campinas, passed away this Friday, July 22, 2022, and which still represents a unique model in its area of operation in Brazil. Dr. Darcy, as he is known, was present in the main moments of FEAC's trajectory, since its foundation, on April 14, 1964. I had the honor to record this trajectory in the two books I wrote about the institution: “Biografia de a social pact: 40 years of integration, support and solidarity” (Editora Átomo, 2005) and “FEAC 50 years: A history of innovation and solidarity” (Arte Escrita, 2014). And also in “Vocação Solidária” (1998) and “Campinas, Vocação Solidária” (2004), both published by Fundação Educar DPaschoal, a historical partner of FEAC in multiple initiatives.

For the organization, Dr. Darcy represented Brazil at the 15th UNESCO International Conference on Voluntary Service, which would take place soon after, between February 20 and 27, 1966, in the city of Rosario, Argentina. FEAC was structuring the Volunteer Training Center (Cetrevo) and was the first Brazilian organization to join UNESCO's International Volunteer Service.

He was very fond of history, which he respected. He donated his magnificent collection on the 1932 Revolution to Unicamp.

Dr.Darcy was very humorous. Always with a quick “balcony”, according to the occasion. And in love with dear Lucinha, who died a few years ago. Now they are together in eternity. He would have turned 100 on October 16th. But it seems that his life lasted centuries, whatever.

He is always attentive and considerate. With a great vision of the future. His physical presence will be sorely missed by the “FEAC family”, but his ideas, his way of being, are enduring. He liked to say that the important thing is the works, not the empty words. Dr.Darcy leaves an immense legacy of works and for works, as he liked to refer to organizations that get their hands dirty, make change happen.

Santa Barbara Harbor is one of the most picturesque boating locations in Southern California. Built in 1929, this 1143-slip harbor has become a popular destination for recreational boaters, fishermen, and tourists alike. Here you will find world-class yachts, commercial fishing boats, and pleasure craft side-by-side. The harbor, Stearns Wharf and nearby State Street provide visitors with a wide variety of services and recreational activities including fine restaurants, wine tasting, gift shops, whale watching, cruises and marine supplies, just to name a few.

The city of Oxnard is home to over 20 miles (32 km) of scenic, relatively uncrowded coastline. The beaches in Oxnard are large and the sand is exceptionally soft. The sand dunes in Oxnard, which were once much more extensive, have been used to recreate Middle-Eastern desert dunes in many movies, the first being The Sheik with Rudolph Valentino. There are very few rocks or driftwood piles at most beaches, but Oxnard is known to have dangerous rip-currents at certain beaches. Oxnard is home to world-class surf at most of its beaches.

Oxnard's Beaches extend for 5 miles along the city's oceanfront, from Mandalay Beach in the north to Silver Strand Beach in the south. The continuous stretch of sand is only interrupted by the mouth of Channel Islands Harbor. The beaches are known for their sunshine, mild surf, cleanliness and easy access.
