Cloud forest on top of Maderas.

A cloud forest is different from a rainforest, since the differing climates cause different species to thrive. Many different types of plants grow on the trees, and you can see orchids, moss, and more on the trunks.

We went to Costa Rica for our Honeymoon in 2003. We took photos of interesting things.

Monteverde cloudforest, Costa Rica. Most of the mosture reach the forest as clouds, mist and fog rather than rain. This is a habitat with a huge bio diversity e.g 100 mammal species, 400 birds and 420 orchids species

The Ecoparque Los Yarumos is a 53-hectare municipal cloud forest reserve at the edge of the city of Manizales featuring forest trails. It offers panoramic views of the city.
