This huge mushroom, some kind of Bolete I believe, was growing beneath a shrub. The cap is a foot across, I know this because I measured it with my foot!

This time, I used the Leica M8 plus Voigtlaender AS 2.8/90 (wide-open and at higher ISO as the light was bad). Compare for yourself. I think the old M8 is still delivering.
