Macro Mondays Leaves only Leaves
A few weeks back I picked up two or three leaves from the capital pear trees in our driveway and decided to see what sort of shots I could get using a black cloth as background, a bit of desklamp lighting manipulation and a tweak or two of photo post-processing editing. This is a different shot from one I posted of the same leaf a few weeks ago.

Kalimera!
Early-purple orchids (Orchis mascula) are coming back to the reserve though they are growing in abundance on the other side of a dry wall fence. I saw only one last year (www.flickr.com/photos/sergeysmirnov/52073708840/). Visiting the Reserve today I spotted quit a few growing along a steep muddy path. This pair caught my attention. This fox grew up next door. Its daily path became predictable.We were hidden in the garage to get a closeup and she heard us breathing, stopped, and looked over. Then we snapped this shot. This turned out to be about the last time she appeared in daylight, hunting in nighttime now nightly.

After so many days of dense fog, cold wind and then again fog and then again fog... With no sun, no snow... I just had to post something bright and sunny.
