This is a closeup of the detailing on the front of the black T-bird in the previous picture. I liked how the grill reflected off the chrome. :)

Years ago I discovered that my camcorder could focus very close to a subject when the zoom control was set at wide. I don't know if it works on all camcorders but I've been able to digitize slides by placing them directly in front of the camcorder lens. This photo was taken next to my eye brows which appear in the upper right corner. And, for some reason, I look very young and not the 72 year old I am.

Taken at the LA Zoo. It was standing about 10 feet away! They're not too shy about getting right up to the visitors.

Bartlett, Tennessee

I'll have to find the name of this guy - he is quite large with the leg span of almost my hand (which is small) and has a cute face!

A close up view of the 1907 postcard featuring my great-aunt.

Another closeup of nature's most beautiful flower with a more muted tone.

Still just trying to get to grips with theD3300 and the settings, so this is really just part of the practice. Please do feel free to leave feedback.

I saw a thingy on the craft magazine feed where a woman embroidered some cross-stitch on a guitar strap for her husband, so I decided to make one for Bill for xmas.

The best thing about being a merchant is to return to your most valuable assets.

My 6yo daughter is an expert at catching bugs (insects, whatever). She's been doing it for a long time, always very gently, and then allowing me to get a photo of it. :)

She had a lot of fun catching grasshoppers; they were a bit difficult, as she'd get close and then it would zip off suddenly, sort of flying/zooming about 3 feet away. But she was able to catch a few of them, and thankfully they sat still long enough for me to snag a few shots.

Day 35

Hair bleach. Completely fried my hair. Looks a bit gross.

I'm ready for my closeup, Mr DeMille...
