Closeup of Nanuq in the backyard

I’m halfway through the #365photochallenge! I wrote a little bit about it here: medium.com/@kgrkz/182-days-gone-182-left-to-go-610a3c1cfa81 🔍

So while June was all about “looking up”, July will be all about “looking down”. Sort of! I’ll be mostly doing macrosmacro and focusing on small objects. 🔎

We were having pizza and sitting in front of the restaurant we were literally harassed by a bunch of flies. After we've eaten, I took these pictures to further test the macro setting of the Xacti CA65...

If anyone with some knowledge on the subject can tell me what kind of flies that is, I'd be grateful.

Closeup showing her face and the detail of the cape's hood. I love the cape fabric (thanks Rosie!) - I think it is silk.

Closeup of the 9 x 12" collage I did for JennyHoliday's "Bits and Pieces" swap. My partner loves vintage 1940s cottage plus vintage children's book illustrations. Left: original illustration from "Hilltop Farm" a 1940s easy-reader story. Right: new fabric based on a vintage pattern, vintage buttons.

A portrait of a lone frog

This is an old photo that I stumbled upon. I just like it.

A closeup of water flowing over stones in the Eas Chuil river beside Loch Awe.

I'm quite fond of the "brushed hairbrush" look of the water in these long exposures.

A quick macro shot with the new Camera. I need to take some shots in some natural light..... Oh wait. I live in Northeastern Ohio so I won't see the sun for a few more months.
