Again, no flash. The light is more forgiving to ladies, but unfortunately I have no tripod. I should work at taking more photos in natural light, but I'm always impatient to get the photos online. :(

Cleome hassleriana, commonly known as spider flower or spider plant.

Taken at the LA Zoo. It was standing about 10 feet away! They're not too shy about getting right up to the visitors.

Great egret chicks are warming up each other on the chilly morning.

My 6yo daughter is an expert at catching bugs (insects, whatever). She's been doing it for a long time, always very gently, and then allowing me to get a photo of it. :)

She had a lot of fun catching grasshoppers; they were a bit difficult, as she'd get close and then it would zip off suddenly, sort of flying/zooming about 3 feet away. But she was able to catch a few of them, and thankfully they sat still long enough for me to snag a few shots.

This is Lynka, she's going to be up for adoption tomorrow.

I'm REALLY excited about this girl!

Day 35

Hair bleach. Completely fried my hair. Looks a bit gross.

This is a wide angle closeup of Luca. If I'm ever eating or studying on this table, she'll be there.
