The Inglewood Bird Sanctuary and Nature Centre was closed after a flood in 2012. It provides migratory birds with a place to rest their wings since 1929. So far, 270 species of birds, 21 species of mammals and 347 species of plants have been recorded.

The "so-called stockings of St. Germanus" (Sogenannte Pontifikalstrümpfe des heiligen Germanus), Catalog #95 in Mittelalterliche Textilien in Kirchen und Klöstern der Schweiz by Brigitta Schmedding (Abegg-Stiftung Bern, 1978).

St. Pete Beach was incorporated in 1957 as St. Petersburg Beach. They shortened the name in 1994.

 

It's a functioning city, and, as a result, has its own 1970's concrete library.

New year . . right? I want to eat healthier, but all that's good I don't want to forget to feed my mind as well. And lately I have been obsessed with learning new things.

 

See I like puzzles but sadly I lack the patience it takes to put one together. But from that love I gained a curiosity of wanting to know how things how they fit together.

Das kommt beim warten im Bus raus

This is the oddest looking starfish I've ever seen. He attached himself to the wall of the aquarium - and though I took this picture with him vertical, the cool reflections off the inner surface required me to turn it 90 degrees. Truly weird.
