Tonight I came home feeling less than inspired. I actually came home feeling confused. About me.
What makes a person a person? What makes you who you are? Is it who you think you are...or what everyone else thinks you are. And what if you think you are different than people see you....
So this is my picture. It was an inviting image for me to take, but I am not really feeling it tonight. I still like it though <3
Treated myself to a closeup lens (Canon 250D) for the Canon G1X which has very poor close focus. Straight from the camera, shot handheld in low light.

Photo made using a petrographic microscope and Pentax istDS DSLR. The microscope has cross polarizers in place.
I'll have to do a better scale measurement later, but I think the smallest features here are about 1/20th mm.

This is a photo I consulted my wife on for processing. She likes a softer, more low contrast look. When she told me to make it "cooler", I showed her the split tone feature in Lightroom. This allows us to cool the shadows while keeping the highlights warm. Kind of a neat look.
