It's funny how, no matter how well you know a person, if you no longer live with them you don't know some of their little habits. Like the way my brother has his shirts color-coordinated to the hangers they are on.

I was inspired to take this photo by Jek in the Box's photo of her daughter's closet. I was amused to see how close the riot of patterns and colors in mine came to a kid's closet, only with fewer pastels ;-)

Closet space is a bit smaller but the FRs have been sorted, FINALLY. Unfortunately, I've been in such an FR drought as of late (I am YET to snap pix of my new ones). I've been so busy! Hopefully, it'll pick up and I get inspired again when convention rolls by in a month.

Abandoned Gothic Revival Cottage Farmhouse That is 170 Years Old!!

Here are some photos from the upstairs of this abandoned house, as well as the floating staircase!
Today we have an abandoned farmhouse that is part of a registered heritage property list on a large piece of land. Built in the Gothic Revival Cottage style and it has been standing since 1850.
The property was identified as a possible site for a large new Amazon facility but the company ultimately decided to build somewhere else.

This door is inspired by the architectural and textile pattern design of the 1950's and 1960's. Hats off to Jenn Ski who has brought this Googie pattern back to life in her paintings and designs and led us to translate it into screen work!
We updated this door with red eco-resin. Check it out!
