I made this for a friend for her New Year's Eve wedding. The pattern is my own. Each of the stitch patterns have meaning:

- The central portion is the largest section. It represents their union. Each half of the motif is similar, and both look better when paired with the other half. They work together, pushing and pulling, but always meeting together.

- Each edge (cast on and cast off) are scalloped, but they're different. Each one represents each spouse as an individual. They have some things in common with each other, but also some striking differences to be appreciated all on their own.

Bereidingswijze :

De winterpostelein wassen en laten uitlekken. Maak de champignons schoon, snijdt ze in plakjes en besprenkel deze met citroensap. Schil de appel, boor het klokhuis eruit, snijdt de appel in dunne schijfjes en besprenkel deze met citroensap. Schil; de avocado, snijdt hem door midden, verwijder de pit en snijdt het vruchtvlees in dunne schijfjes. Besprenkel de schijfjes met citroensap. Snijdt de kaas in grove stukken. Doe de postelein, champignons, appel, avocado en kaas in een schaal en meng dit alles goed door elkaar. Pel het knoflookteentje en pers hem uit. Roer in een kom de olie, azijn, crème fraiche, mosterd, knoflook, zout en peper door elkaar en schep deze dressing vlak voor het serveren door de salade

(ik heb het nooit geprobeerd, maar het ziet er wel lekker uit!)
