Week 19: Macro/Close up
52 in 2015
Close up detail of a small plaited palm leaf decoration for Palm Sunday celebration in Spain.
Pretty close strike. I had to darken the photo quite a bit in an image editor, it was overexposed due to the lightning striking twice and being so close.
Planted new mulch in my garden and have been rewarded with an abundance of close up opportunities with fungi galore after heavy rain.
Again I'm undecided between the two shots. The closer one and the one a bit further back. I like them both.

If the lyrics to one of the most popular songs among WWI soldiers are to be believed, the soldier seated in the middle is a man marked for death – or at least the enmity of his comrades.
Oh how I hate to get up in the morning.
Oh how I hate to get out of bed.
For the hardest blow of all is to hear the bugler's call;
"You've got to get up, you've got to get up, you've got to get up this morning."
Someday I'm going to murder the bugler.
Someday they're going to find him dead.
I'll amputate his reveille and step upon it heavily.
And spend the rest of my life in bed.
Listen to a clip of the song here.
