A close-up of the chuppah, all silk that was hand-dyed and quilted by my mother. Unbelievable; it will certainly be hung on the wall of our next apartment.
Located close to the Kuala Kangsar Town Council field, it is considered by some to be one of the most beautiful old buildings of this Royal town. It has a unique design and reflects some of the elegance of early Malay architecture with a special charm totally in its own.
Built in 1930 under the reign of Sultan Iskandar Shah, this structure has occasionally been referred to as the "Pagoda of Malaysia". It was originally used as a recreational and entertainment venue for the wives of court officials and other important people, especially for ceremonies and special celebrations. Having undergone some renovation, it is now part of a public park.

Berlin....2014 February 16th
C/O Berlin presents in cooperation with the Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival the project Close Up!
Thirteen young photographers are given the assignment of presenting their personal view of the Berlinale in all its diversity - the red carpet, glamorous film stars, hectic staff, or behind-the-scenes secrets. Each participant will decide on a theme, embark on a search for motifs, select images, and put together a series of works for exhibition. The photographs will be shown at C/O Berlin in front of the Amerika Haus at the conclusion of the Berlinale and the best series will receive an award.
This years participants are: Simon Becker, Xiomara Bender, Susanne Erler, Carina Feneis, Dominik Fleischmann, Sveta Goldstein, Sabine Kelka, Przemyslaw Nieciecki, Christin Raubuch, Christian Sarges, Jasmin Scherer, Milena von Bruchhausen and Karol Wysmyk.
This is a good friend of mine, Tess :) and I must admit this is probably the best work I have done thus far, especially on the post processing and getting that 3D Natural look. The lighting was hard to work with. So I had to construct a breast cleavage, As well as make changes to the bra strap that had malformed because of the pose. This took me quite a while to do, but I am very satisfied with the results, A bit of a shame that I didn't take it on green screen, But I suspect I will do something with this very soon!

These two leaves were close enough in a garden tree, but still there was a distance! I was expecting breeze that could join them together. Waited for the nature to react and of course I found them together and captured the moment of joy. Will publish the memorable instant soon!

I am finding it so hard to get decent photo's of white cakes but I do like this close up detail of the stencil.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

Continuing my journey into Gainsborough's modern estates. (all built since the end of the Second World War), this is Highfield Close, just off Woodfield Road. Once social housing (at least the bits to the right), but now all private.

Vicars' Close is claimed to be the oldest purely residential street with its original buildings all surviving intact in Europe. It comprises numerous Grade 1 listed buildings, comprising 27 residences (originally 44), built for Bishop Ralph of Shrewsbury, a chapel and library at the north end, and a hall at the south end, over an arched gate. It is connected at its southern end to the cathedral by way of a walkway over Chain Gate. The Close is about 460 ft (140 m) long, and paved with setts. Its width is tapered by 10 ft (3 m) to make it look longer when viewed from the main entrance nearest the cathedral. When viewed from the other end (as in the photo) it looks shorter. By the nineteenth century the buildings were reported to be in a poor state of repair, and part of the hall was being used as a malthouse.
