I'd heard that you could hold your lens against a camera the wrong way around and it would create a macro effect. It certainly does. Varying degrees of success depending on the subject, but this is as close as I could get to my old Lorus watch.
This technique actually helped me to understand how extension tubes work, so I may look into getting some. Not sold on them yet as I don't really need to do macro photography but the science seems sound!
The watch in this photo is well over 10 years old and in need of a battery, but it has a really nice face and orange dials, which just happens to be my favourite colour. Because I wear an UP band, this doesn't get a look in these days, but I doubt I'd get a 6th (or is it 7th) band should this one fail and I could be tempted to get this working again.
Fleshmarket Close is listed on Edgar 1742 as the westernmost of three leading to the Fleshmarket and obviously got its name after the market was moved from the South side of the Tron Kirk, as shown on Rothiemay 1647, to the lower part of the slope down to the Nor Loch, at some time prior to 1691. It must have had an earlier name; but the only suggestion, that it was Provost's Close, is of doubtful authority and not very plausible.
This was shot from the second floor of the Devon Tower. You can see the Crystal Bridge, Amphitheater, and Skydance Bridge center right.
The Skydance Bridge is for pedestrians to cross I-40. It's design was based on the Oklahoma State Bird the scissor-tailed flycatcher.

Here is a close up and you can see the vases better - it was so fun having this all lit and the waterfall going too! I sent my daughter the video showing this and she was so excited - we both said "lets having the wedding now" :D

Assyrian, about 810-800 BC
From Nimrud, Temple of Nabu
This divine attendant stood outside a doorway in the Temple of Nabu, god of writing. The inscription mentions Adad-nirari III (810-783 BC) and his powerful mother Sammuramat, the original Semiramis, whose legendary exploits were recorded by the Greeks. It ends by advising the reader to revere Nabu: 'do not trust in another god'.

A close-up shot of Psycho in his (uhm, her) iconic pose of pointing a make-believe gun to her head. Why? Dunno, Psycho just does that. O.o
Tech stuff: same processing as the other Psycho photo (Topaz Lab's Adjust "Clarity" filter) to add some graininess and hyper-realism to the pic; adjusted the LEDs in her mask to make them glow more (brightness/contrast bumped up and an outer glow).
