St Mary's church, Lymm.

Lymm rushbearing day today and going along with it St Mary's church opened up its tower. I got to visit and learn about the bell ringing room and how it all works (more interesting than I would have thought!), the clock room and its mechanism and finally access to the roof.

This was taken without the use of flash. ISO 3200

If you use the Flickr zoom in facility you will just make out on the dial that the mechanism was made by W Potts & Sons in Leeds - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potts_of_Leeds

Prague Astronomical Clock or Pražský orloj is a medieval astronomical clock located in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.

The Orloj is composed of three main components: the astronomical dial, representing the position of the Sun and Moon in the sky and displaying various astronomical details; "The Walk of the Apostles", a clockwork hourly show of figures of the Apostles and other moving sculptures; and a calendar dial with medallions representing the months.

The Clock Tower is a turret clock structure at the north-eastern end of the Houses of Parliament building in Westminster, London. It is colloquially and popularly known as Big Ben, however this name actually belongs to the clock's main bell. It has also been referred to as St. Stephen's Tower.

This photo was taken just upsteam from the London Eye standing on the wall in front of Mc Donalds.

Historic Clock Tower on Hampton University Campus during a photoshoot.

The Balmoral Clock on the Balmoral Hotel on Princes Street taken from Waterloo Place. Another shot with the Lensbaby 3G this time with the f4 aperture ring in to get more blur. Wasn't the easiest shot to take to be honest. Focus on the clock face was a challenge even with the 3G. Happy enough with this though.

Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall), Munich.

Urban exploration (UrbEx) isn't something I typically do a lot of, but a close friend invited me to come along with him once, and I decided to give it a try. It was definitely an interesting and exciting experience, and made for some fantastic photo opportunities. Not sure if this is something I'd do often, but it was fun and unique!

The location is an abandoned hospital in rural Pennsylvania, which has only been vacant a few years, but the damage inflicted by vandals, vagrants, and scrappers has taken a considerable toll on building's integrity. Combined with fire and weather damage, it looks like it's been abandoned for decades, rather than years, and it's undeniably spooky inside.

This clock will never tick again.

Eastgate Clock in Chester, Cheshire, England, stand on the site of the original entrance to the Roman fortress of Deva Victrix. It is a prominent landmark in the city of Chester and is said to be the most photographed clock in England after Big Ben.

I made this record clock with a clock mecanism and a 7''. I'm gonna send this to my friend Jon in Toronto.

This is the inside of the weight for No.6. The spring is necessary so when the weight is released to indirectly pull on the clock train, it doesn't jerk on the train, and cause it unnecessary stress or damage.

Photographed on Carnforth Railway Station many years ago.
