Something completely different... a steampunk rendition of a tuba clock with a vintage mad hatter on the bell.
This wonderful WW1 memorial clock tower is in Ulverstone Tasmania. The three pillars represent the armed forces - army, navy and airforce - linked together with the chains built over the original WW1 memorial. It looks great during the day, but at night it is quite special.
(Scanned with a Sony RX10m4 from a slide taken with a Canon EOS 300V 35mm SLR film camera. Original shot would have been a 10 second exposure at f11 using Fuji Provia 100 film and was taken sometime around 2008)
This clock is in my home town of Wiener Neustadt. How often I stood there as a child and waited for the two cuckoo figures ! It's nice to see that it still works and delights the hearts of children and adults alike !
Photographed in the British Museum London. Made in 1610 all that remains of this clock is the face, internal workings and the chiming mechanism. the actual clock case has long since disappeared. It could show day date and month as well as the time and lunar cycles and could also roughly predict eclipses. The clock maker and country of origin have not been given. (Probably unknown.)
That's what they say, but when you take a photo of a clock, time stands still and I was having fun! Clock on the kitchen wall in our getaway cabin in E. Tawas, Michigan

This 300 ft. landmark clock tower, built in 1913, is currently awaiting a much needed structural overhaul.
Rubik's clock has four turning dials and four up-down pins. The aim is to set all 18 clocks (front and back of puzzle) to point to 12 o'clock.
The corner clocks, unlike the other clocks, rotate on both sides of the puzzle together and cannot be operated independently. Thus the puzzle contains only 14 independent clocks.
Each pin is arranged such that if it is "in" on one side it is "out" on the other side of the puzzle. The state of each pin determines whether the adjacent corner clock is mechanically connected to the three other adjacent clocks on the front side or on the back side.
Since there are 14 independent clocks, with 12 settings each, there are a total of 12^{14}=1,283,918,464,548,864 possible combinations for the clock faces.

The clock I spied from the cathedral roof in Milan. I believe this was taken with my 70 to 200 mm lens.
The old historical and architectural "bell tower" is located near a big nice park in Milan close to the old history.
Fixing the Clock town clock. it stopped working years ago and after a lengthy fund raising, it is back up and running, shot in North Carolina.
A clock I received from my Mom a very long time ago.
I was fascinated with it. The way the clock weight moved smoothly and silently around and back and forth.
It is a wind up version and over time, with moves from one house to another, it stopped working. ...Maybe I wound it a bit too much. I still have the key.
Every now and then, I think...well...I will find a clock maker to fix it. I still think I may.....

This not quite junk, but it is in a junk drawer. This is a clock winder that I use to wind a vintage German mantle clock that sits above my fireplace. #MacroMonday #Junk
