The clock I spied from the cathedral roof in Milan. I believe this was taken with my 70 to 200 mm lens.
The old historical and architectural "bell tower" is located near a big nice park in Milan close to the old history.

I was fascinated with it. The way the clock weight moved smoothly and silently around and back and forth.
It is a wind up version and over time, with moves from one house to another, it stopped working. ...Maybe I wound it a bit too much. I still have the key.

This 19th century clock stands on the promenade, counting the minutes, and providing some seating, for the old, infirm, and hoody-clad ne'er-do-wells of the town.
This clock exists because way back when it was planned to open a public library in Morecambe. A councillor collected contributions from a variety of donors to build the library. The problem was the ongoing running of the place - it would require a halfpenny added to everyone's rates (local taxes) which was a step too far, apparently.
So, what to do with the accumulated donations? Easy - build a clock tower!
It is necessary to offer a libation before my cuckoo demon will allow a time adjustment.

The Moorish Style - Clock Tower lies between the Palace Reception and the Mosque. Its features were emphasized obviously in its geometry, openings and decorations.
The Clock style is also similar to Ramses Station Clock Tower except that the clock hand is snake shaped and not straight.
