The Southend Cliff Lift, a short 130' long, electrically operated funicular railway, with a single passenger car running on 4' 6" gauge track. A counterweight runs on a 21" track beneth the running line. It was opened in 1912. 2nd August 2019.
The rocks top left is a place I have fished off since I was a teenager. The two eyes are the arches there.
Twisted Shrub/Tree that normally grows to 8 feet...at the rim of The Grand Canyon it reaches up to 18 feet.
Randomly woke up at 3am and then randomly drove out at 4am to Coal Cliff to catch the sunrise.
Randomly met another random photographer (thanks Phil Roberts) who showed me around sea cliff bridge, where the rock pools are, how to get under and above the bridge.
Then a blast through the national park on the way back. XD
A number of stacked loops totalling 11km meander through the forest adjacent to St. Nora Lake. This trail system offers a little bit of everything, from millennia old geological formations which give insight into the last significant ice age, to large bogs, towering cliff faces, mixed forests, challenging climbs and spectacular lookouts. Be sure to pack lunch and your camera because you can spend an entire day exploring these trails.
The High Cliff trail seems to be less busy than the other trails at the Frost Centre. I suspect this is because the first little bit is a very steep switchback, which discourages casual walkers and those with children. The views aren't great (this was the best), but the relative peace and quiet were well worth a few minutes of hard climbing!

I'm not one who knows anything about flowers. In fact I dont even know if this is a weed or a flower. Come to think of it, what is the difference. Either way it's certainly colourful and caught my eye when we took last weeks trip to Bempton Cliffs. The field of rape seed behind helps provide some fine contrast.

- www.kevin-palmer.com - Standing nearly 7,000 feet above the town of Story is a peak by the name of Grandmas Mountain. Legend has it the mountain was named by grandchildren who when they saw this peak, knew they were almost to Grandma’s house. The mountain is made up of dolomite cliffs that look too steep to climb without a rope. And it is too steep if you go the wrong way. But last summer I found a route to the top. A week ago I went back because the view is even better in the winter. Snow was not yet deep enough to need snowshoes. Even though it was below freezing I could feel the warmth of sunlight radiating off the cliffs.
Cliffs Erie 4210 West is at MP 14 on it's final trip from Taconite Harbor. They will dump the limestone at Dunka Jct the next day and arrive back at the former Knox Depot after that for the last time. Oct 28, 2008.

Opening in 2005, Sea Cliff Bridge replaced the road around Illawarra escarpment that was subject to regular rockfalls. Grand Pacific Drive, Coalcliff, Australia.
The cliff of Zaro is a beautiful and wild location on the island of Ischia. It is a hard to reach and hidden location, but unique for the peace you can find there.
At the West End of Negril, Jamaica, a popular "sport" is cliff diving. My wife and I were vacationing here (for our 1st anniversary) and we were having lunch at our hotel on the cliffs overlooking the sea when some locals began diving off the cliffs.
Of course I left my lunch immediately to climb down to the bottom for a good perspective to take pictures! I got some great pictures, but my lunch got cold.
The spot this guy was diving into only had a 3 meter wide opening between the rocks in the water where he could safely land.
A Cliff Chipmunk (Tamias dorsalis) out for it's morning drink from a nearby seep at Brown Canyon in the Huachuca Mountains of Southeastern Arizona.
