This is a homemade (by junk on the side of the river) raft that we used to pick up and remove trash from the Connecticut river
The Locust tree lost several branches to the heavy wet snow. Fortunately they all fell on the side away from the house.
As you see, we didn't get 6-10 inches. More like 3-4, but it was very wet and heavy. A lot of branches down around town, mainly because a lot of trees still had leaves. Some towns without power, but we were lucky.
That giant head is the CEO of Chevron. Street theatre and music really made the event, there was tons going on, and it helped keep a lot of people present for hours and hours at the blockade
The day after the Labor Day Fireworks over the Ohio River, a crew on the Newport, Kentucky, had to carry all the rocks back to the piles folks carried them from. People used them to mark their spot and hold blankets down.

MassDOT Volunteers participated in Litter Pickup Day on May 11th. This crew gathered 57 bags of trash at Copeland Circle in Revere.
