Yailin Benitez (first row, second from left) who represents the Psychology Club from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, participates in the Great American Cleanup every year, but this is the first year she’s served as a Site Manager. 116 volunteers were scheduled to report to John Prince Park this morning!

The single most important goal that initiated this outing was to clean our everlasting mountains from the hunting cartridges that had rested on its façade for a very long time. We managed to collect 15 huge bags full of cartridges that will be later recycled.
A mixed group consisting of Soldiers, Alpini, Department of the Army civilians and family members, work together to collect trash near Longare during the annual cleanup day March 11.
Members of the Vicenza Military Community came together to help Italian volunteers clean the town of Longare and surroundings up for spring.
On the following day, Soldiers from the Sergeant Morales Club and BOSS, along with their family members, joined Italian volunteers for the 4th annual cleanup day in Quinto Vicentino.
Both days, the cleanup ended with a luncheon offered to all participants to thank them for their enthusiasm and support.

Thousands of volunteers of all ages across America take part in efforts to clean up and improve their local communities. The Great American Cleanup, a project of Keep America Beautiful, is coordinated locally by Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful Inc. and the Solid Waste Authority.

The west end of Dauphin Island lost its berm (aka your tax money) in the last round of hurricanes and cleanup is still underway.

The Nairobi River Cleanup project has inspired Global Peace Foundation volunteers around the world through the Rivers of Peace Initiative.
