GSWA/Americorps Watershed Ambassador Trail Cleanup

Taking part in an active environmental community is paramount which is why we not only organise our own beach cleanup events but also help out whenever we are invited to join other organisations or groups who organise events which share our goals and dreams!

Ranging in age from 13 to 18 and hailing from several different schools, Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows teens worked with a video crew from the City of Sparks to document how volunteerism can help our community with a clean up at the Club site in August, 2010.

As oil continues to pour into the Gulf of Mexico, cleanup also continues to remove it as quickly as possible. Here cleanup crews are using a sort of vacuum to suck up the oil from the top of the water.
