When you handle a complete kitchen cleanout in a house you've lived in for over 20 years, you find out disturbing things about yourself. We have cabinets we haven't seen the back of for a decade.
Apparently, I was once the kind of person who accumulated THREE COMPLETE fondue sets. Believe me, I was very, very young in the Sixties. I was not giving frequent fondue parties. But now, I'm going to have to get in touch with my Sixties alter-ego and have some fondue parties. For ten or twelve of my closest friends. Because I have that much fondue-related equipment.

Queens New York house clean out job. Emptying a two story house full of garbage and furniture in a single day.
I got talked into getting a new tub. Along with having a problem getting the plumbing to connect on the tub cleanout and drain, the tile guy said having a new tub would make his job easier by being able to float the whole floor. It took 3 men and alot of grunting to remove the crazy heavy cast iron tub. The tub had to weigh at least 500lbs! After removing the tub, we started to wonder if the bathroom walls were built around the tub.
What was under the tub was a whole other story... I wish I had taken a picture before I started cleaning, but this picture was taken after 1.5 trash can loads of nastiness. Basically under the tub was a huge rats nest that looked like a compost pile of leaves and newspaper. Mice and rats would make their way up the hole around the tub drain and then make a nest under the tub. I was lucky and didn't come across any skeletons, it was all just a big mess of leaves and trash.

The first time we powerwashed the pond since being built in 2006. This is while pumping out dirty water and stopping to retrieve koi and goldfish.

No space to put anything, I filled 5 recycle and trash bins with paper and junk shoved into all corners of store.

The final trash pick-up. We kept our fingers crossed that the trash men would take it all, and they did. I throw stuff away, but still it seemed like we had a mountain of junk!
